Forbidden Journey will be a family attraction of the highest caliber. Most people are assuming it will be a thrill attraction for some reason. While it will have some family friendly thrills it won't necessarily be a thrill ride anymore than Spiderman, Soarin' or Men in Black.

Your lack of maturity as well as reading comprehension, and social skills, seem to become more pronounced with every post you make.

  • Disney is not the Disney of old
  • Disney is makes horrible mistakes everywhere, mostly in management
  • This thread is all about me
  • jt04 is stalkng me
  • I like Disney, but they're still DOING IT WRONG
Actually nobody knows how Harry Potter or FL is going to turn out. It would seem very foolish to evaluate at this stage of the game.

You are certainly correct. Disney is no longer the old Disney. Kind of a shame in many, many ways.

Yes Disney has made some very horrible mistakes. Yes management is responsible for that. Ask Lee or Martin or Tirian or Whylightbulb or Corrus (if he's still around. I won't put Steve on the spot by bringing him into it. It just seems like a few people don't like to hear it when someone like '74 saids it.

Actually WDW1974 doesn't make any of his threads all about him. He's much more interesting in real life than any of his threads could ever be. For some reason people like you attempt to make his threads about him. I wish you could explain why you, and others do that. Are you jealous of him or something. Are you so intimidated by his views that you feel it's necessary to lash out at him? It's really so much easier to just say I think you're wrong with that opinion, and here's why.

jt04 stalks '74 from post to post. He can't help himself. He has an obsession. I've even offered to get him an autographed picture of '74 to help him with it.

Your wrong on that last one. WDW1974 doesn't like Disney, he loves Disney. My gosh, there are a lot of people that think Disney does a lot of things wrong.

Your list seems accurate and captures his viewpoint. Obviously I think he is stuck in the Eisner era and refuses to see the trends.

And it's not just this thread that becomes "all about him" it's everything in the Disney realm.

Proof too much pixie dust in your youth may not be a good thing.

Gotta go
The stalking continues. You just can't get enough of him can you jt04?

It's how the tech is being used. Much better than Test Track and certainly much better than TSMM.

Those Dementors are looking pretty sweet but when riders discover how they are presented it will elicit screams and laughter. When guests come face to face with some of the new projection technologies and how they will be integrated with the ride system it will amaze them. Have you ever been on Soarin' and wished the take off was longer? I think I'll shut up now.
You big tease!

I've been reading a lot of the Potter posts here and have to guess that I must represent at least a small percentage of Orlando theme park guests for whom PotterLand will have no impact.

For lack of interest, I've never read the books or seen the movies and most likely never will. That doesn't mean they're somehow bad in my view, just means that HP's not my thing.

I'm sure I will be able to appreciate HP Land from a technical or design standpoint, but it simply holds no attraction for me and my family. I'm not blind enough to think that HP will have no impact on Disney's plans or bottom line, but for me...my $ and my family will keep going to WDW.

I guess we like the pixie dust and fur-lined handcuffs of riding ME to our DVC resort.

AHAHAHAH. You still haven't addressed my points! Stop name calling and actually have a normal discussion without name calling, you loser. You're becoming quite the running joke to me. Are you WDW1974?... probably not... at least he's tolerable.

Actually this whole thread is WDW1974 defending his opinions or forcing it upon others.

And Whylightbulb does know about Harry Potter. I'd listen to him.

You can easily blame management, yes, but it's mainly the economy. Doubt you'll admit that though.

Quit being an a____________ to Jt. You may insult him, but the joke's on you.

My God.... who are you to decide who and what people love. You mock Jt about being obbsessed with WDW1974, but I think we truly know who the obbsessed one it.

The stalking continues.

Guarentee you he will quote this and throw some 5th grade insult about me and address nothing. Typical.

See, I was around back then and I know it is unrealistic to expect they can ever bring back the quaint aspects of WDW's early years. It is impossible for many reasons. However, considering the issues caused by the amazing growth that has happened over the years, they still do an amazing job. I'm feel bad for you that you have bought into a way of thinking that is so erroneous. That spin is false.

Now people can demand Disney try to bring back that type experience of the early years, but they will only fail in their efforts because it's impossible to put ME's WDW genie back in the bottle. They will fail and so will the WDW we now can still enjoy.

No offense to anyone involved in these tete a' tetes, but I think it might be time to close this thread down. Things seem to be getting way too personal, and definitely off track from the original theme.....

We are getting hints, though...much like we are getting hints on World of Color. I would think that both Disney and Uni are both about to do something VERY large....just on different coasts.

For the most part, 74 tries to have an actual discussion I think. He's not negative - he's a realist. Other people that are eternal optimists can't see any wrongdoing see his posts as bashing and take to bashing him personally and not discussing the points/opinions/views/facts.

No one really knows about HP. It's not open. A tornado could strike tomorrow and wipe out all the current construction. With Universal's finances they may choose not to rebuild at all or to the same degree that is currently under construction.

Earlier it was argued that Mermaid will be a marvel. Maybe, maybe not. It hasn't even started construction yet.

You can't place most of the blame on the economy. Sure, for laying off cast members and shuttering restaurants to seasonal status, etc you can. But for most new attractions, budgets for any 2009 or 2010 attractions would have been greenlight during the boom years, not the recession.

If Disney had really envisioned how bad the economy would be and chose not to add anything in 2010, then I don't think they would have over saturated the market with DVC.

I can't remember myself. Sometimes these arguments make me feel like I'm in that classic Looney Tunes clip:

"It's Rabbit Season!"
"No, it's Duck Season!"
"Rabbit Season!"
"Duck Season!"
"Rabbit Season!"
"Duck Season!"

Who said anything about quaint? I want QUALITY not quaintness...One can come from the other, but the bottom line is quality. Something original. Something traditional, but at the same time, something modern and new. Like Mystic Manor, if you want to get empirical.

I think you are pulling at straws, jt....And thanks for the pity!

You only think he's a "realist" because you agree with his opinions, which are not wrong or right. All I think is that he has been very pessimistic, and he has. I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Whylightbulb is somehow connected to the construction of the ride. He knows about it. Did you read his posts?

Yes, the economy has had a major effect on WDC and what gets approved for the parks believe it or not. Do you think Bob Iger just has all the money and is just messin' with us? I bet some of you do, but I'd rather be a "realist" in this situation.

As I said before, yor lack of maturity, your lack of reading comprehension, and your lack of social skills become more prononunced with each, and every post you make.

I would suggest however that you be a little more careful with the name calling. The moderators frown on that. It does show your very nature though.

I suggest you sit down with your parents or a teacher, and ask them the appropriate way to conduct ones self in a discussion.
If you care to continue appearing childish by all means do so. Please tell me what in your repertoire of little post do I need to address. I'll give you a while to ponder that since I have to go shortly.
