Ok...I don't know where Laura is...but I thought I'd attempt her system here...I may need a bit of a learning curve, since this is totally new to me, but here we go...
Taken straight from Laura:
For anyone who didn't play last year, you get ONE shot at guessing the order that the top 12 contestants will be voted off the show. The catch is, you have to rank them all before they even give their first performance on the big stage. The longer your top ranked contestants can stay in the game and the shorter your bottom ranked contestants stay in, the more points you'll accumulate. You are stuck with the guesses you make this week for the rest of the game. So if your top ranked guess is voted off in week 1, you're not going to do very well.
Each week the point values increase. The scoring system is a bit boring, but if you're interested here's how your weekly totals will be calculated:
Week 1: 1 point per correct guess (11 contestants move on - 11 possible points)
Week 2: 2 points per correct guess (10 contestants move on - 20 possible points)
Week 3: 3 points per correct guess (9 contestants move on - 27 possible points)
Week 4: 4 points per correct guess (8 contestants move on - 32 possible points)
Week 5: 5 points per correct guess (7 contestants move on - 35 possible points)
Week 6: 6 points per correct guess (6 contestants move on - 36 possible points)
Week 7: 8 points per correct guess (5 contestants move on - 40 possible points)
Week 8: 11 points per correct guess (4 contestants move on - 44 possible points)
Week 9:
15 points for guessing one of the top 3 correctly
30 points for guessing two of the top 3 correctly
55 points for guessing all 3 of the top 3 correctly
Week 10:
25 points for guessing one of the finalists correctly
75 points for guessing both finalists correctly
Week 11:
100 points for guessing the American Idol correctly
So if you want to play, all you have to do is put the top 12 contestants in order, with number 1 being the person you think will become the next American Idol, and number 12 being the person you think will be voted off first. I'll take care of the rest and give an updated point total each week.
If you still don't understand how to play, glance at the thread from the first year:

Since we're getting this started late...we'll have the guessing go until tomorrow at 7pm EST. Not a lot of time, but at least we'll get a crack at doing this this year.
*The points may change if they don't vote off two of them on tomorrow night's show...play the game right now as if they're voting off two of them tomorrow night, since that's what I've heard they're doing.
