Items to buy to Commemorate a trip

I was wondering what items you guys/gals might buy to commemorate a trip. Something with at least a year on it. As the years go by and the trips blur together it might be nice to pull a keepsake out of storage and have it pinpoint a particular trip. I guess you could have almost anything personalized, but I was thinking along the lines of specialized products sold at the world for this sole purpose? Any ideas:shrug:

I'd like to get something started as me and my wife make our second trip together in April, with many more to come; especially once kids come down the road.

Every year I always buy a magnet with the year I went on it and a scrapbook to organize all the brochures and pictures from our trip. So if I want to see what the MK brochure looked like from 2003 I can pull out my scrapbook and look at it...:)

On our honeymoon we had a crystal brick with a 3 dimensional image of SSE earth burned into the middle. Then we had our picture taken and had it burned into the middle of the block with the dates of our trip. I forget what the exact technique is called. Basically they pass two laser together in the center of the block and that sections melts a little to create the picture. Really cool.

That's definitely a great idea to commemorate an extra special trip like a honeymoon or a first trip!

Oldest DS 1st trip my mom bought him a my first pin collection lanyard. Each trip we make I buy the resort pin, year pin and a pin of what his favorite attraction was that trip. The lanyard is now full, so I'll need to buy a new one next week.

I like to buy myself either a key chain or magnet each trip too.

I started buying small snowglobes with the year on them for each trip we've taken. I add them to the free small snowglobes JCPenny's hands out on Black Friday and now have quite a collection.

I like the pin idea. We do that. But I also put together a wall collage of character pictures and such with the kids and use scrapbook stickers and admission tickets to note the year of the trip. Now granted, if you take several trips in a year, it would take up a lot of wall space, But every few years, it is nice to look at the wall whenever you want to remember.

Dated Christmas ornaments, photo album with the year on it, I even buy a wall calendar on my trips, and save it. I also collect shot glasses, and make sure I try to get at least one from my resort and one with the year.

Christmas ornaments are nice! There are always pictures frames from your resoft gift shop...most have the year on them...if they don't it is usually easy to add the year to it.
I used to collect the refillable mugs...had the resort and year on it...can't do that anymore:( as they are now selling "generic" refillable mugs for The Year of A Million Dreams...and they DON'T have the year on them...disappointing after all these years:cry:

We always get a dated magnet for the fridge and since the very 1st time we ever visited Disney World we have saved from each park, the park guide/maps you get coming in the entrance. Kinda neat to look back 25 years and see how its changed/grown.

You can purchase one in the exit area of the Imagination ride. They sell many different styles. They take your picture and mail the crystal within a few weeks. I purchased one to commemorate the year 2000 and it still provides a great memory for my family.
