Does it matter that the link is to Disneyland's website? Is TSM going to be the same at both parks?

it was originally designed for DCA. apparently the CA version will be named "Midway Mania" as it is located in Paradise Pier while DHS will simply have the "Toy Story Mania" name.

Im skeptical of the spring action gun. It looks exactly like the cannon used in the Pirates ride in Disneyquest which isn't all that great. Hopefully the 3-D is alot better too.

windows

im about to ask a question that has made me think for a long time so here it is:

Why are there some of the windows at the top of the TSM building still open or dont have windows?

I assume for the ride marquee to be installed. The glass wall is only a few feet infront of a brick wall for much of that space, so if they need to work in there, going through a hole in it seems most logical.

I'm very "meh" on this whole concept..

Ya, it's just a Buzz Lightyear ride but in 3D. I like the Buzz ride but do I need more than one ride of that type? Ummm...isn't this awfully similar to Universal's MIB ride anyway?? Doesn't seem too ground breaking of an attraction to me. And yet they are building one for each coast?

Then again, I guess WDW has Dumbo, Aladdin's Magic Carpet and Tricera Top Spin which are all similar ride types. No dout it's cheaper to replicate than originate.

I think this will help MGM, and make a significant difference at DCA (which sorely lacks dark or immersion rides) but not as much as Disney seems to be marketing it as. I think they see it as a big pseudo "E" fix-all, which is just is not.

I agree with Merf. You can put me down as "meh" as well. It's better than nothing, but it just seems like a band-aide for two failing parks when what they need is major surgery.

If you hold your mouse over the left block in front of the ViewMaster, this message appears: "Ride the new attraction at Disney World Resort."

I know it might be kind of weird that I noticed this, but it seems odd to me for it not to be the proper name "Walt Disney World Resort" on an official web site...just happened to notice.

Apparently I get critical and grumpy before bed (plus I was rooting for Mel and Maks on DWTS!).
