ORLANDO, Fla. - A 27-year-old Disney worker was arrested after he traveled to a parking lot in Orange County believing he was going to have "naughty" with a 14-year-old he met online, according to authorities.Brian Fries, who told officers he was a tour guide on Disney's Jungle Cruise ride, was taken into custody by Orange County "naughty" crimes unit Thursday night.Detectives said Fries engaged in online communications with an undercover officer who he believed was a 14-year-old. He thought he was meeting the girl Thursday night for oral "naughty", police said.

Officers searched Fries' vehicle after his arrest and found some Disney playing cards and a bottle of rum that an undercover detective had asked him to bring to the scheduled encounter."I just want to apologize to my parents," Fries said. "I'm sorry mom and dad. You raised me better than this. I'm sorry."Orange County Sheriff's Detective Jason McMullen said finding men seeking "naughty" with children online is not difficult."I can log on any time and find somebody," McMullen said. "They have to be explicit to commit the crime. And they have to talk about specific sexual acts that are going to be committed when they meet."Detectives said other men were also arrested by the "naughty" crimes unit Thursday.Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.

You know, I was just about to suggest that to get around the word filter you should just pick another word, but it looks like you've already done that with "naughty."

In the future I would suggest we all just pick words we wouldn't normally use and decide they have alternate meanings. For example, defenestrate means to throw through a window. We'll never need to use that word in its normal meaning. Since it already looks a little naughty, we can use that when we need to imply copulation:

"He wanted to defenestrate the 14-year-old."
"He thought he would be meeting her for oral defenestration."

Back to the story, it's sad, but I'm glad he was caught in a pretend "sting" operation and before he did this for real.

Definitely disgusting, but I gotta say...it's hard to take the post seriously with sentences like "He thought he was meeting the girl Thursday night for oral 'naughty.'" :o

(The way I feel when I read that sentence is more along the lines of the ROTFL smilie, but I thought the one above was more...I don't know, tasteful? Whatever.)

I'm curious to know if anyone on this site knows him. Either CMs who work with him and know him by name, or visitors who go frequently enough to know the CMs by name.

I'm used to coming into work and hearing of someone being fired for theft, but I think it would be very weird to come to work and hear about a coworker who had been fired and arrested for soliciting a 14 year old girl.

Man, that's sad.

Now I hope people don't think this is out of line, but it would have been funny if Chris Hansen from 'To Catch a Predator' went on the Jungle Cruise to catch this sicko. At the Nile River part of the ride, Chris Hansen could have asked this loser if HE was "in de Nile" about the whole situation with the under aged girl. Then he would bring up the chat log and say, "Online you told this girl that your ______ ranges from 12 inches to a whopping 1 foot."

Hope this doesn't offend anyone, I just tried to make light of a bad situation. Plus if you watch 'To Catch a Predator', Chris Hansen is actually pretty funny sometimes when he asks the predator questions.

Right there with you. I pictured Crocodile Hunter on a jungle cruise boat, looking into the camera, saying "Crikey, we've got one sick, sick B*stard here, He's bad, bad news!"

That would be the best episode ever. I love that show.

All I have to say about this or any "set-up" like it is this is entrapment.

Actually you are mistaken about this.....To be entrapment you have to suggest to someone or make them commit a crime they would not otherwise have comitted.

And before anyone starts the legal word battles over this issue....let me just tell you I am a law enforcement officer and have been for over 14 years. and I will not debate that issue here, I just wanted to inform others that this is not entrapment. All law enforcement has to do is provide the opportunity for the suspect to commit the crime. Once they have been provided the opportunity, its jsut like anyone else that has the opportunity to commit a crime. The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly upheld this decision. That is not entrapment.

I have been involved in taking down internet predators and have never had an issue with "entrapment" because we conduct the investigations within the guidelines of the law.

I agree internet predators are about as sick as they come!!:hurl: :hurl: :hurl:

I dont know this person in particular, but just this past week someone i've worked with on several projects was arrested for 7 counts of molestation and lude acts, etc.

The day starts with "Where is (person)...?"

And then someone sees a news reports, and some gossip starts, and then if you're in a big enough company or system, they haul everyone into a meeting and tell you what happened, the person is no longer with the company, and be prepared to deal with the local news who might come asking questions.

Overall? No one expected it, but no one was really shocked. A personality thing.

It stinks even more that some are employed at WDW
Unfortunately there are no professions that are immune to these kind of perverts. Unfortunately for every one that is caught there are probably a dozen that aren't. The internet is a wonderful tool when used properly, but a very dangerous one when it's not. When so many kids have unsupervised access, and unlimited computer time, people like this are bound to show up.

Well, since the officer was posing as a 14-year old, that makes it entrapment.

I am not saying what the guy did was right or wrong. but no one here knows the exchange of conversation between the man and the undercover officer.

However I am almost positive (knowing OCPD the way I do) they invited him to meet in the parking lot. which also makes it entrapment.

There is NO LAW saying that you can not talk to an under aged person online.

My wife says "Well, most people like that will claim they are a 14 year old boy wanting to meet up." I do not dispuit this. but if parents would raise their children better to not be trying to have ______ at age 14, on top of that of ALL these cases where some under aged child is invited to meet someoen from the internet. WHERE ARE THE PARENTS? I know darn well if my child came to me and said "Hey I have been talking to this person online for a while and want to meet them. I would find out who this person was and IF I allowed my child to meet them I would be there with them.

Not to mention that the parents should be monitoring what their kids are doing online anyways.

So in the end, it really is the parent's fault their children get in trouble like that.

There are creeps out in the world. "you" as a parent have the responsibility to protect your children. That does not mean let them run off ALONE to meet some person from the internet. PERIOD!

YOU are entrapment

Um... whatever that means.
