Little Ones Travel Time~

Feel your children's excitement when your family visits Walt Disney World® Resort between August 26th and October 28th. Special attractions have been created just for preschoolers, including live performances and an exceptional hour of fun during Little Ones Magic Hour. Little Ones Magic Hour

During Little Ones Travel Time, Magic Kingdom will also host Little Ones Magic Hour where Fantasyland opens an hour early on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Guests can ride many of their favorite Fantasyland attractions as well as interact with Disney characters like never before. For instance, Guests might have the opportunity to play "Peter Says" with Peter Pan or ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant with Stitch. It's fun for the whole family! (Entertainment subject to change).³

Walt Disney World Resort will showcase dynamic concerts and special entertainment for little ones throughout the travel time. Also, Disney Live Family Entertainment will debut the new “Playhouse Disney Live on Tour” featuring Mickey Mouse, Little Einsteins, Handy Manny, and more Playhouse Disney favorites. The Doodlebops™ – Sept. 6-9

Playhouse Disney – Live on Tour! – Sept. 13-16
Have a fun-filled time when this touring show makes its debut at Walt Disney World® Resort. Sing, dance, and play games with Playhouse Disney favorites such as Little Einsteins, Micky Mouse Clubhouse, Handy Manny, and more.

Johnny and the Sprites - Oct. 18-21

Dan Zanes and Friends - Oct. 25-28
Have as much fun as the kids! Grammy® winner Dan Zanes performs 21st century, all-ages folk music that gets children and adults singing and dancing along with wild abandon. Come see Dan and friends perform songs off their album, "Catch That Train


Fastpass "Tickets" will be distributed on a first come first served bases, beginning at 9am the Day of the Concert for all show times.

Event Information Tables will be available for Ticket Distribution.
Only one person in the party needs to wait in line to get tickets for their group.

They will need to have park entrance media for each ticket received.
Once all tickets have been distributed for the day, Guest have the option to wait in a Standby line at the venue for any of the shows. Standby does not guarantee seating.

You know, in that entire article, the thing that stuck out to me the most was also the bit about riding Dumbo with Stitch. Is that supposed to help sell tickets for this????

My 7 year old son rode Dumbo with Stitch and it was one of his favorite memories of our trip.

It could just be due to our hate of SGE hehehe.

Stitch is a great character, and a lot of people love him. He's certainly one of the most memorable recent Disney characters.

He's gotten a bad rap on the WDW fan boards because SGE was a disappointment and replaced AE, but Stitch is still a great character and one I enjoy seeing every time I go to the parks.

For me, moreso than the debacle that is SGE, the problem with Stitch is that Disney over-exposed him. They seem to be putting him EVERYWHERE now- attractions, prominent roles in parades, on Disney dollars, even the wake-up call!

Johnny and the Sprites? As in John Tartaglia?! The college program this fall just got better.

I don't hate Stitch, I just don't care for how much WDW used him, and SGE is just plain awful.

To me he's a decent character but I think they just went way overboard with him. However he is the favorite character of 2 of my little cousins and they would absolutely love to ride Dumbo with Stitch.

Well, that was a temporary thing, really.

First, when Lilo & Stitch came out, Disney released a series of hilarious trailers to promote the film. Each started out like a memorable scene from a classic Disney film and then Stitch somehow messed things up (causing the chandelier to crash down on Belle and the Beast, for instance). It was a brilliant marketing campaign at a time that Disney hadn't had a big hit in a while. I, for one, enjoyed the promotion more than the film itself.

They did the same thing when the attraction came out. SGE was planned to be a huge draw. Because the concept for the attraction is that Stitch is escaping into the Magic Kingdom, there were signs of Stitch having "taken over" all over the place - the monorail spiels, wake-up calls, even temporary graffiti on the castle. But for the most part, that's all gone now. You still see Stitch around, but I don't think he's overexposed anymore; it's just that the fans have grown a bit sensitive to him and now don't care to see him anywhere. But he's still very popular with a lot of people and is a lot more marketable to the younger set than any other recent Disney character I can think of.

You are correct! I'm a HUGE fan of John Tartaglia, and went to see the Johnny and the Sprites show a whopping 3 times while I was there (always from the front row, center - and no, I don't have any kids ). It's a wonderful show, and when I saw it the actual tv series hadn't started yet so it was quite easy to show up 30 minutes prior and get a ticket. That'll probably change this time around. Too bad it's so late in October as I was hoping to see it again this year... hopefully I can make it.

SWEET, we changed reservations to a week earlier, now we get Doodlebops and the Playhouse Disney shows...

No, you are not...but I think it may have little to do with "getting" it and more to do with being bitter about SGE and using that argument as a red herring to blast Stitch at every turn.

We still see the same compliants about how Stitch was "over used" in marketing and sales...but if it didn't sell, we wouldn't have seen it. Disney was only giving people what they were buying.

We leave on Aug 26th Our duaghter would have loved it!

How many threads are there that turn into a I hate Stich thread? Can't say I like him that much myself, but the topics been argued to death by now surely?

We saw Doodlebops and Mickey's Magic Show last year. My kids loved them both.

Don't nail me to a cross for bringing up an old thread, but anybody hear more on who the TBD concerts are?

And where do you line up to get tix? at the front gate, at the venue, is it still ABC theater? How early should I line up at the theater for Doodlebops? They are the big ticket w/o the Wiggles this year right?

Are Wiggles maybe coming afterall?
