Shift Happens: Future Amazement

This is some very interesting stuff. Basically it highlights some current happenings and future predictions regarding technology. For example: By 2049, we will have built a machine capable of exceeding the computing power of the human race.

Predicting the progression of technologies is always difficult. I can remember as a child in elementary school (in the early-mid 60's), hearing predictions about how we would have bases on the moon, harvesting vast natural resources from the oceans, and the automobile would be completely automated and integrate with mass transit systems. All well before 2007.

But it still fun and thought provoking to consider what may happen in the future.

Besides, Last of the Mohicans is a great soundtrack!
