Yes, I am sad to say that the Disney Marketing Department's stable of
prodigies and savants have indeed announced that, due to lack of
profits resulting from high labor costs, the Adventurers Club will be
closed and completely refurbished. Some of the new money-saving
concepts under consideration are:
• Having only one actor and one actress control and voice all the
Members, who will appear as animated Pixar characters on giant
screens on the walls of each room
• Employing the Dream Squad to randomly select seven guests each
night to play the Club Members
• Scrapping live actors entirely and programming Babylonia, the
Colonel and the Yakoose to perform New Member Inductions
automatically every half-hour, while installing the Enchanted Tiki
Birds show in the Library ceiling (the Mask and Treasure Rooms would
be converted to larger, more convenient bathrooms for guests).
• Changing the Club theme to October 1929, having the Members dress
in rags and openly beg money from the guests
• Capitalize on the lucrative Princess Breakfast concept by serving
food and doing meet-and-greets with an elderly character department
performer as Eleanor Roosevelt
• Auctioning off a Salon wall item each night
• Charging regulars a $50 fine every time they ruin a joke
• Charging actors a $100 fine every time they say something self-
consciously modern
• Replacing Graves and the Maid with illegal immigrants
• Burning the Club to the ground for the insurance money
