Well we didn't plan on going to Star Wars Weekend, we just went to MGM and I remembered it once i entered the park. Anyways it was very interesting since i had never been before. Our original intent was RnRC, ToT and Muppet 3D. Anyways, the park was very busy and full of people in costume and with Star Wars gear on. Reminded me of opening night at the theaters (i am not a big fan of Star Wars mind you).

Anyways, it was alot of fun. I have a seperate post for an update just for MGM as well.

Below are some images from the Star Wars weekend. Click on the image for a larger view.

Star Wars Motorcade
The motorcade was just a parade of Star Wars characters which was very neat.

I can't wait until next year when I go. I'm hoping they're running SW Weekends then because 1) it will be the thirtith anniversary of the realse of Episode IV (A New Hope) and 2) 6/10 will be my birthday and I want to celebrate it all day at MGM during the SW Weekend. :king: :D :sohappy:

Thanks so much for the pictures!

They made me feel like I was really there, which really feels good. I can't wait to go to a Star Wars Weekend.

I was at the Studios on Saturday, too.
The Stormtroopers on the roof of the entry were cool...and pretty funny.

The most impressive thing was Peter Mayhew's hair...wonder how many Ewoks he can hide in there. Scary.

Saw Fantasmic Saturday night, with a few mishaps. One indian canoe had no torches burning and another one ran into the set before rounding the corner out of sight. Then the barge with Ariel had a near miss with the Snow White barge, then drifted over to the rail and just stopped for a few seconds before turning out it's lights and limping off stage.
Oh, and the snake wasn't moving.....anyone know why?

Off topic, but I got into Pirates for a bit today. Lots of work going on. Scaffolding and whatnot. I got a photo of the unload area under construction that I'll probably post later.:lookaroun

Man now I am upset.

I was at the Studios Saturday and at the Same Fantasmic! show and missed the great Lee. You did not by chance go to the 11:45 SWW Millionaire did you?

I went to SWW last summer and I've never had so much fun at Disney in my life. I sure wish I could make it back down this year, but I don't think there's any hope. It's so much fun for SW geeks like myself, you have no idea. :)

There were some but not as many as last year. There was one gentleman and his wife dresses as Luke and Leia from ROTJ. Not only were the costumes incredibly accurate but the guy was a dead ringer for Luke.

I recently saw a Darth Tator (mr potato head) picture on here. Does anyone know if that was from this year or last year? If it was from this year, where is the Mr. Potato Head found?
Thanks!
Great pictures btw!

If you are referring to the character I did not see him this year but then again I did not go by his location from last year when I entered the park. Last year he was outside of the park to the right of the ticket booths.

If you are referring to the toy you could find him as well as the Spud trooper at Tatoine traders as well as the store set up inside of Sound Stage 1. Once upon a toy also carries him.
