most of Disney's efforts and money are going to FL and a basic re-make of DCA
after both are complete (next year or the year after). WHAT IS NEXT?
there are many options:
A)just continue with regular refubs and new editions approximately ever year or two.
B)will disney start a new pattern of re-imagining " Eisner parks" (DHS and AK could defiantly use the same treatment as DCA (for DHS we should not get a basic copy of DCA (cars land)) and if Disney starts these overhauls on the parks who should be the first to get one, and what types of new lands or attractions should be put in the re-imagined parks
C) Disney will put all its time, effort and money into shanghai disneyland

What do you think will happen and what would you want to see!:D

My biggest wish for DHS?

Red Car tram system to take guest from one side of park to the other.
More Muppets!!
Rodge Rabbit from DL.
Indy Ride from DL.
Expanded Pixar Place.

What'll really happen?
C) Disney will put all its time, effort and money into shanghai disneyland

Does DHS really need a tram? The park feels small as is.

That being said, more attractions need to be added. I was there February 3 and I rode everything in a matter of 4 hours -- including the live scheduled performances. I even rode TSMM THREE times (no Fastpass), waiting no more than 20-30 minutes. I probably arrived at the park at 1:30 p.m. finished riding everything around 5 p.m., but had the dilemma of having to wait until 9 p.m. for Fantasmic. So what did I do? I basically did the entire park all over again. Mind you, this was off-season and at 6:30 p.m. the Streets of America was deserted. If this hadn't been Disney, I would have been afraid of getting mugged.

Long story short: More rides please! And the replacement of insipid "attractions" like Sounds Dangerous and American Idol Live (I hate the show, and I don't ever want to experience it in person.)

I would say dhs is my first choice too it is small and has little to do backlot tour is just taking up space for expansion
But will shanghai disneyland detract from the budget
And next park that needs improvement is ak but I do like the addition of the African trek it's a step in the right direction

AK and DHS do need some serious attention. However, the only attention Florida will probably get is more Next Gen stuff and promoting the ridiculous new FastPass system.

i feel like all the love(work) is going into the most visited parks in the world(MK) they should be giving the love to HS&AK because they need the most increase of attendance. and most people will skip over those parks.they are only half day parks for some people.

also part of the fun of disney world is not having everything planned. i like when things are more spontaneous. Fast pass only really helps when there is huge lines other wise i don't mind waiting on line with my friends and family and having fun and interesting conversations while getting to know more about them, and also making new friends on line
next gen queue is a cool idea( i like that )but i don,t like that you will be able to plan the times of the different rides that you do

I actually wrote an email to Tom Staggs about this and this is the email that I got back:
Dear Mr. Wade,

Thank you for your note and for being our guest so often. I don't want to reveal too much at this point, but the innovations we're pursuing are aimed at enhancing the experience for all our guests. In fact, I firmly believe we will succeed in making a spontaneous visit even more inviting and enjoyable than it is now.

I hope we have the pleasure of hosting you again soon.

Best wishes,

Tom

If you are interested, this is my original email:
Dear Mr. Staggs,

I have been reading some articles this morning that quote you as saying that people will be able to reserve attractions, character experiences, etc. before ever leaving home.

We live near Disneyland and as such we will quite often go at the drop of a hat. In addition when we go to Disney World we love to be a bit spontaneous, unfortunately, due to having to make dinning reservations we do have to pick what park we want to be in on which days. To be completely honest I would love to see Disney do away with dining reservations completely and allow just walk-ups at the restaurants and if it is too busy they could give you a return time, but I digress.

As you can see, we like to be a bit spontaneous, one of the cool things about the parks is you never know what extras there might be, maybe you will take in some of the atmosphere, see a street show that was not on the schedule, run into Donald on Main Street unexpectedly. These are the moments that I tend to remember the most, but if every second is planned, then these would all but disappear.

So I am sure that you can see my concerns about this NextGen technology. I am hoping that you will still provide ways that Guests do not have to plan every second of the day and not have to end up waiting in even longer lines than they do now if they don't do the reservations. I also hope that you will make sure that you provide these ways to do so at both the Disneyland Resort and Disney World.

Thank you for your time.

Chris Wade

What I found interesting is that this wasn't just another form letter response (which I usually get from Disney, so i am all too familiar with them) and that he actually answered the question. Unfortunately he didn't provide details, but he did answer it.

What's next...

The burning question...

Shanghai is next. The big target in Disney's radar.
After that, i'm pretty sure Disneyland will see some addition, but if we're talking about WDW, well, I think the next thing we will see added here is that rumored Monsters Inc coaster. Makes the most sense.

The two million dollar Monsters Inc. coaster will be ready for launch after the FLE is done, in 2015. Scully even does a 30 ft. nose dive into strobe lights, the kids love it! $90 per day at DHS. We think that's a fair price now. Take it or leave it.

but does anyone think if they start work on dhs it will start a domino affect of expansion in the park (like TSMM was the beginning of the re-imagined DCA)
and does any body know if when they built HKDL, DLP, or TDL, did disney world
get any major rides/improvements?
