My apologies if this has been posted before, I did a quick search and came up with nothing.

So, according to a number of Disney sites (mouseinfo.com, mouseplanet.com) Lucky, the acclaimed walking animatronic dinosaur may not be coming to WDW's after his run at DCA (which was extended). Apparently, when Bruce Vaughn, Vice President of Research and Development for Walt Disney Imaginnering was asked at a press event in LA if Lucky would be coming to AK, he said (and I quote) "No."

Both resorts (WDW and DL) want Lucky, and both for good reason. AK in Florida and DCA in California are both struggling to maintain guest attendance and length of the guest's stay- the latter more than the former. So, does it make sense to keep Lucky in the park that really needs him (DCA) or bring him to Dinoland, where he isn' needed as badly, but would fit in much more nicely (in Dinoland.)

Being a tried and true WDW fan, I of course want Lucky at AK. It makes sense and from what I understand, he was always supposed to go there. I've been looking forward to it for a long time. But I also understand that DCA is in dire need of something to draw guests.

So, what does everyone think? DCA or AK?

It would take more that one Lucky to get people to go to DCA...this dino alone will not bring people through the gate, if anything we probably won't see Lucky anywhere anytime soon...perhaps they are fixing some bugs or something with the system for the time being...but eventually it (or something like it) will come to DinoLand. But hey eventually both resorts will have Luckies.

If Disney wants people in DCA badly...then they should put some $$ to achieve their wishes and do away with the whole California adventure theme...which obiviously is and has never really worked with Californians.

Lucky might aswell be brought to DinoLand becuase it will not have a significant affect at DCA. Anyway just my opinion.

I do think that the voters are a bit biast, as its wdwmagic... not dlmagic...

Anyways...

I'm guessing people will go to DCA wanting to see lucky, and will end up staying when they see Attraction A, then Attraction B, and will stay- hopefully attracting them back the next day, too....

Having been to California Adventure, I can tell you that with the attendence that they are currently having you can do everything easily in a day. If you are just going for the rides, a half day. I enjoyed my trip and would recommend the park to anyone, but it will take more than Lucky to get people to visit more than a day.

Some of you people are just so darn mean! But in any case, I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, i just think some people care too much and i didn;t like the fact that someone just HAD to make a comment about soemones signature, so i said,"wow" because thats how i felt about that and i generally voice my opinion...i figured someone would have a lot of time to comment on mine as well, but really it's not a big deal, but i will change it...once i figure out how and stuff like that. I am not that great with the computer and I thought it just mnight be fun to come here to chat. i just wish people wouldn't have to debate about almost everything! But in any case, i suppose I'll have to deal with it If i decide to stay on this forum thingy...so "Lucky"...i think that is what this chat is about, right?...what is Lucky?:confused:

Why don't you watch a video at mouseplanet.com or maybe miceage. They have some videos and pictures. Its a walking animatronic. I think I'll PM Steve and see if he can set a certain amount of characters to the signatures. I think its at 300 right now. Not sure, but its to high.

To Change your Sig just click on User CP and then Edit Profile, Scroll down to the Sig Area.

Noone is trying to be mean or debate anything. Its just that on some of the older computers with lower resoultion (Everything is bigger on the screen) the long Signatures can take up a good portion of the screen...

Anyways Lucky is a new walking Dino they developed
