What I think...as of today...for now...

IMO, the current WDW version of the ride is the best version that has ever existed. Here's why:

http://www.kennetti.fi/swscary_10.html

As for being a "trade up",I hope I'm wrong, but I'm very skeptical that the coaster will be able to retain all of the STORYTELLING elements that are in the current ride, no matter how good the theming is. Big Thunder has great theming, but it moves too fast to be able to take in the elaborate type of storytelling scenes and diologue like you can get on a dark ride or boat ride. And even a "kiddie coaster" like Barnstormer moves too fast for this type of storytelling. That's why I was hoping if the Snow White dark ride closed, they would go with the rumoured flume ride attraction like Splash Mountain that could even expand the STORY even more!

Thanks for your info, though.
I liked the Original version OF Snow White's Scary Adventure.. Because you saw the ride through Snow White's eyes

So much for congratulating him. It's almost as if you're jealous because your predictions about Pixie Hollow absolutely, positively not being cut and that the chateau was definitely happening were completely wrong.

The only one looking foolish here is you.

Now where is your Disney spirit. Please attack while I am awake so I can at least defend myself. Okie dokie. :snore:

Look Kid,

I am going to try to word this post as nicely as I can. Let me give you a little background before I tell you what I think, even at the risk of getting banned for it.

I am a 40-something year old guy with my own business and a family to support. I come here as an escape when I have idle time, and because I’m fascinated with The Walt Disney Company—not just its rides and attractions, but its operations, finance, politics and gossip. I grew up watching Walt himself on television explaining his visions on Sunday nights and I love going to WDW to see them materialized.

When insiders like Lee, Juan, Raven and formerly Corrus throw us tidbits of what they’ve found out, I’m further fascinated and it brightens my day. Unfortunately your recent posts have littered nearly every thread on this board with arrogant, pointless and often self-contradictory statements of your opinion, when you even admit you have no inside information whatsoever. Reading these threads is becoming a chore to try to sort out your statements from any real information.

Now you’re resorting to personal attacks against anyone who disagrees with you. If you continue in this manner the real insiders that are trying to share information are going to find it aggravating to post here and will stop doing so. (Witness Corrus). That will be a loss to ME.

Given the amount of time and effort you are giving to posting here, I’m led to believe that you have little else of interest in your life. For God’s sake, please get out from in front of the computer and try to meet a nice girl… or a guy….or even your left hand, and spare us any more of your arguments.

Thank you.

Feel free to report this post to the mods if you’d like.

I don't think this point was brought up, but it'd be impossible to build the SW2.0 mine train underground. Nothing related to money, but remember they had to build the utilidors because when they dug into the ground they hit water about 5 feet down.

My Disney spirit is alive and well, and I'm not attacking you. I'm simply calling you out on your left-field claims, contradicting posts, broad general statements to make yourself sound right in the future, whacked-out conspiracy theories, and calling out our insiders' posts as propaganda so it can suit your agenda. (I speak for the rest of WDWMagic when I say I get a bit excited when an insider posts information.)

Like others have said before, armchair imagineering has its own sub-forum, and your ideas are surely welcome there. Personally I love armchair imagineering; I enjoy reading it and think of myself to be one. But it's simply irritating when you try to work them into news and rumors when they have no factual basis (like the invisible foundations of the chateau.)

Why would I need to report this. I mean it is silly and immature sounding especially for a 40 year old but that is no reason to report it.

We are here to discuss something we are all passionate about. I happen to disagree and I rarely if ever accept anything without proof. It is just the way I was raised. We are a diverse collection here and that is what keeps the debate going. Otherwise we would just log in see what someone says and where would the fun be in that. Corrus left because he left Disney I believe. I imagine this would be the last place he would spend time. So take a deep breath and realize it takes many individuals to make a community. Think happy thoughts.

PS- there is an ignore button conviently provided for just this situation. I mostly write for the entertainment of a band of lurkers who shall remain anonymous. They love me though and appreciate my wit. Because they are in on the fun too. Nighty night.

I was over on another site and they were specifically talking about this thread. I was so proud. "over at WDWmagic Insiders say..."

If it was MiceChat, then that was me. Only fair to give credit to those who have the info. I don't post on here much, but I definitely read it religiously. :)

Thanks to Lee and Juan for making this so interesting!

Regarding Corrus, I would think he probably stopped contributing because his credibility tanked after he was dead wrong about absolutely insisting a certain thing wouldn't happen. And yet, not even a month later...

He got that one wrong...but when a guy with his credentials speaks, attention must be paid.

I read a good deall of Corrus's posts. He seemed to have good information, but seemed to deal in absolutes. (Example: Carousel of Progress was defintely closing in 2006 to make way for an Incredibles coaster. Even Lee backed hiim up on it. But as I understand it, the project was cut at the 11th hour. The information he had was solid, however.) That's why I don't disregard insiders if they are wrong, occasionally. I'd like to borrow a certain phrase from Forrest Gump, but I'll leave it as "it happens". Keep in mind until recently Lee was asserting FL West is going ahead. He admitted he was wrong, and he still is quite credible. Plans change.

So let us summerize.....

Lee hated Pixie Hollow so they got rid of that.
Lee hated the Aurora m&g so they got rid of that.
Lee hated the Cinderella m&g so they got rid of that.
Lee hated Cindy's chateau so they got rid of that.
Lee hates princess m&g's so they are being exiled to the skyway station.
Lee demanded a fan-boy friendly ride so they added a dwarves mine train.

They are removing SWSA because they can't duplicate Lee's fanboy ride.
They are building Circus City starring Dumbo-rama because they used up their budget making Lee happy with the FLE and have to settle.

They are keeping BatB because Lee likes to eat.
And they are building Mermaid as a scaled back clone of the DCA version so Lee can say he was right about TDO being cheap.

Lee has power folks. Big time power. I think Lee is really Staggs.

You do realize everything Lee disliked was unanimously disliked by Disney park fans & guests. It was incredibly narrowminded and half-baked. If you watch the D23 video you can hear cheering and clapping when he says "Fantasyland expansion and instantly everyone goes silent when he says the expansion is mostly princess meet & greets you even hear a few akward laughs because people thought it was just a joke.

This is getting out of hand...

To all who want this jt guy to shut up and leave; to all who are constantly retaliating against every word he says, I have some advice for you: don't reply to him.

I understand that this is a discussion forum, and arguing to prove a point is the primary basis of posting. But people like Jt just feed off your arguments, with or without making any sense. Thus, we get what we have here now: one poster vs the entire rest of the website, duking it out like little girls, with no constructive discussion. Trying to prove him wrong evidentially won't make him alter his views. He's got a very stubborn conception that he's right, and nothing anyone will ever say will make him change his mind. He's confident; we can give him credit for that.

So if you're seriously tired of him; if you actually want to keep this thread on track as per the OP's request, just ignore him. Let him keep his thoughts to himself. Let him be. And then he will either leave or be forced to.

The more you argue with him (which is what he wants), the more derailed this thread is going to get.

That's my advice. Take it or leave it.

Well, in the new version you can look at it from her point of view as well, as there are only 3 Snow White figures in the ride - only now, she lives Happily Ever After, instead of getting a rock dropped on her at the end! ;)

And that's why I prefer the current version. That, and I hate the witch/horror.

How is Jt04 not banned yet? I see him in every thread picking fights with people. I've seen people get banned from forums for alot less.
