I strongly advise everyone everywhere to ignore ANY reviews of buses at ANY resort. It's almost always completely meaningless.
WHY???
Because there's no such thing as a resort at WDW that has consistently bad bus service.
The problem is that we, as travelers, um, well ... we travel. We don't stay put in the same hotel for very long, maybe a week or so, and as a result we see only a quick snapshot of what the service is like. Yes, we can take 3 seconds to see that a room is too small, or a view is great, or a restaurant has a terrible menu, or a resort is too long of a ride to the parks. But if during a week at a resort the Mousekeeping was often sloppy, the front desk staff surly, or the buses a little slow, that doesn't mean it's that way all the time at that resort.
Here's a perfect example for you. We most recently stayed at the Polynesian for a week. For the entire week, and I'm not exaggerating, we never waited more than about 2 minutes for a bus. By the end of the week we were joking that people waiting at the bus stop should cheer for our arrival, as it meant we would be "bringing" the bus to them any minute. :ROFLOL: Anyway, as wonderful as our bus experiences were at Poly, I also have to realize that if we arrived at the bus stop 3 minutes later every time, we would've waited 15-20 minutes or more every time for a bus ... we would have left our vacation quite annoyed with how slow the bus service was at Poly!:ROFLOL: But by luck alone, we got there just as buses were pulling up. Luck, not good (or bad) bus service.
The size, the view, the distance, the menu ... these are things that don't change. it is the same for everyone, week after week, month after month. But a maid who's sloppy because her kid is sick that week, or a front desk manager who's having a bad hair day because he's in the midst of his grad school final exams, or bad luck with crummy bus drivers who are assigned to runs at that resort for a few days that week ... all of those things change all the time, they are not constants at that resort. Know what I mean?
Some people complain that CBR has 7 bus stops. Having stayed there twice, I say ... so what?! It really doesn't have much of a real-world effect, even though it can seem pretty important "on paper."
Coronado Springs Resort, another Moderate, has 4 internal stops. The combined Port Orleans resorts (both Moderates) have a total of 5 internal stops. At least the stops within a single resort are fairly close together.
Polynesian shares buses with Contemporary and Grand Floridian, meaning there are 3 stops spread out pretty far from each other. If your tired and can't wait to get back to your room, it can get annoying if you're seated on the left side of the bus to see the sign pointing left at the intersection to get to Poly, but your bus goes straight at that intersection to go to Contemporary first.
As far as I can tell, there are only two resorts with a single bus stop AND that don't share with other resorts ... these are Animal Kingdom Lodge and Pop Century. These resorts have lots of great things about them. But I would never choose one of them based on that bus situation. I just don't see the practical impact.
