Whenever I've compared FLE to WS, I'm not talking about size or what they offer, I'm talking about what you see and whats surrounding you. FLE will pull you (well not you, but little kids) into the story, the sounds, and the feeling of the movie, very similar to how WS pulls you into the sights and sounds of different nations. WS is for an older generation while FLE will be for a younger one.

I will always prefer WS over FL any day.

You see, that is probably my biggest problem with the expansion. I'm still really excited about it but my problem with it is that it's directly aimed at little girls and little kids in general. This is exactly why Walt built Disneyland in the first place; so there can be a place where people of all ages can have fun, not just preteens. To be honest it seems sometimes like TWDC sees their parks as a place where they can steal money from parents of little kids and this expansion really isn't helping them with that. What they should really do is take a look at the plans and see what things they can do to change this to a land that everyone will love.

Uni claims it is a super E but besides Spidey there is nothing in that park that impressive.
Gonna have to trust me on that one. Disney hasn't delivered anything on the level of HPatFJ since maybe Indy or Tower. Maybe.
With Mermaid, they didn't even aim that high.

Also everything that I have seen and DIsney even sai TLM would be an E.
If and when Disney calls Mermaid an E it is purely marketing and PR.
Nobody in the industry, even at WDI, considers it to be an E. It's a nice D, nothing more.

Well TLM being an E was the only saving grace of this whole expansion now I guess there is nothing to look forward to.

Why does it matter if it's a D or an E Ticket? A good ride is a good ride, and I'm confident WDI will deliver.

Things I like (so far) from FLE:

  • Little Mermaid ride
  • Be Our Guest restaurant/Gaston's Tavern
  • The atmosphere and theming
  • Dueling Dumbos/mini-Circusland
  • Cinderella M&G...I'm fine with this one. It sounds more like a real attraction than the others.
What I don't like is that glorified M&G's are going to be passed off as new attractions. The Aurora one is the worst one (a coloring party, seriously???:brick:), especially since "Sleeping Beauty" would actually make a cool dark ride. If Disney was looking for this to be their Potter Swatter, they are wrong. Harry Potter Land looks awesome, and it is a major incentive for me to visit Universal again despite the fact that I thought the resort was overall "meh" the first time.

All in all, though, I look at this an overall net gain. We're not losing anything, and the things I listed above are an incentive to return when it all opens. I just hope this doesn't become the model for future Disney theme park investment.

Exactly. Nothing wrong with Mermaid at all. It'll do it's jobs of adding capacity to the park, and entertaining the dark ride lovers and kids.

I know you keep saying that it's supposed to be a D but judging by everything I've seen; the size of the show building, the models for the scenes, and the detailed artowrk for the scenes, some of which look massive, if it's not supposed to be an E than it's going to be some type of Super MEga D.

How do we know TLM won't come out better than expected? How do you know the FLE won't have some surprises?

It's one thing to expect your reaction, but I think you are really jumping the gun.

Exactly.

If TSMM is accepted as a D, then after TLM it should be a low C/B.

Except with the current dining options, it'll be impossible to get in!

SO true. My family HATES making reservations too. Lucky me. UGH

Please tell me you're kidding.

I'd listen to the guy with WDI contacts.

Nope JP is way over rated and has a T-rex that moves even less than the Yeti.

Hulk is a good coaster that I CAN.T handle anymore same with DD.

Besides Spidey its all thrill rides and unlike the ones in WDW for the most part I can't handle them anymore. There is nothing in that park for me, I haven't been in 5 years and reall only like the original park.

As for TLM I was hoping for HM not just another dark ride.

Okay well, another thread in this forum states that the 40th will have a new parade and a new castle stage show?

I'm extremely excited to see DAWM go away and for Dreams Come True Parade to get burned...! Hopefully the parades will be high scope!
