On the assumption that the 'herbs' in question are legal and listed on the label, there shouldn't be any problem. If they're in your checked luggage, chances are they won't be seen other than on x-ray.

Many people use herbal remedies here. As long as they are legal and kept in their original bottle you can have them in your carry on or checked luggage.

thats what i though montymon but i didnt want them thinking i was smuggling in summet, that is my fear.........lol :(

I presume the herbs are all legal as im guessing they wouldnt be allowed to sell them here. The health shop is Holland and Barrett so they are a reputable company too, they contain things like bromelain, papaya enzyme and cellulose

I was going to buy a prand new bottle and leave it sealed

No need to worry. Those are just digestive enzymes and can be bought here in our grocery stores, vitamin shops and health food stores. They are not illegal in any way shape or form. It would be the same as carrying a bottle of tylenol for your headaches. Bringing in a sealed bottle is a very good idea as there can be no questions then. You could carry it on in a zip top bag with your other medications (if you have any) or just pack it away in your suitcase with your toiletries. I carried a few non prescription items when we last flew ( in my carry on) and there were no problems.

I just returned from Europe (Germany and France) and I didn't have any problems taking over the counter meds, vitamins, or Herbal pills to Europe and than back into the US. I packed them in their normal bottle(s) and put them in my carry on. The security people in France asked what they were and I told them and they didn't do anything about it.

You should not have many problems.

My friend brought back tylenol and codeine from Scotland (legally OTC over there) in her carry-on bag. You'll be fine with your herbs. They have bigger fish to fry.
