This an idea for a The Nightmare Before Christmas ride.

--Safety spiel before leaving--

Jack: While touring Halloween Town, please your bony hands, arms, feet and legs inside the vehicle at all times. Do not eat, drink, smoke, burch, explode into flames and gurgle. Also there will be no flash photography during the tour. Okay! Let's go!

--Ride--

You pass through the doors to Halloween Town, where all the residents, including the Mayor, are celebrating Halloween.

Mayor: Welcome to Halloween town! I hope your stay is a welcome one!

Just before you go into the Christmas scene, Jack Skellington himself is there.

Jack: Ho, there! Be careful in these parts! Oogie Boogie is around, and his boys! Just don't get lost!

You go into the Christmas scene, where it shows Jack looking around Christmas town.

You move into Lock, Shock and Barrel's treehouse, where the three singing their song about capturing Santa Claus. As you move past them, most of their weapons start nearly falling on guests, with the suit of armour being last.

You move into the Oogie Boogie song. Oggie will be a projection here, but Santa will be an animatronic.

You may be able to here parts of the song, but the biut that most people will hear is the part deleted out of the movie.

You move into a real graveyard, where Jack is singing about how sorrow he is. He notices the guests. Zero is with him at this point.

Jack: My friends! I have just recieved word that Oogie Boogie has kidnapped Santa and Sally! Proceed to Oogie's lair!

The vehicles move into Oogie's lair. This time round, Oogie will be an animatronic, moving on a platform. He notices the guests, while not paying attention to Santa and Sally.

Oogie Boogie: Well, well, well. Some guests decided to spy on me? Sorry, but I've won this battle.

The vehicles move into a pitch black room. In front of the guests is a train, like the effect in Mr. Toad. However, it stops just before it can hit the guests, revealing Jack has stalled it. Strobe lighting reveals this.

Jack: Quickly! There is no time to waste!

The vehicles move upwards and see a view of the Oogie/Jack battle from above, cuclminating with a loose thread caught on the pot of fire, making him fall backwards into the pot.

Oogie Boogie: You may have won this time, Jack! But I will be back!

The vehicles move downwards and into Halloween Town, with Santa's sleigh visible. Everyone is amazed, but the vehicles move into one last scene.

Here, Jack and Sally kiss. There is one last character about to give the guests a fairwell. It's the Mayor.

Mayor: I hope your visit to Halloween Town was a pleasent one and we hope you had a nice time! So long!

The vehicles move into the unload area.

--The descending stairway--

Guests board a walkway that goes down, similar to the Haunted Mansion but the opposite way!

As the guests go down, Sally is standing on Halloween Hill.

Sally: I hope you return to Halloween Town soon! We've been dying to have you! And please give Jack some love!

At the bottom of the stairway is a Nightmare Before Christmas gift shop.

I hope you reply to me on this!

Cool idea. Is this a dark ride? That's how I percieved it. However, how about something such as spiderman? I think a 3-D ride would be very cool.

Already done....

The play-by-play of The Nightmare before Christmas Oogie's Revenge: The Ride done in poem fashion like the orginal NBC poem by tim burton for my 2005 Walt Disney Imagineering Imaginations entry.

It was Halloween eve in Halloween land
and every ghost, ghoul, and goblin
was lending claw, paw, and hand
hanging up noose's and stringing up bats
handing children out favors
like shruken head hats.
Everyone was about
spreading fright, scares, and screams
but not all is as right
as it frightfully seems.

Sally was missing
and could not be found.
Though everyone searched,
she was nowhere in town.
Jack quickly set out
to search for his bride,
for he would do nothing
without her by his side.

With Jack on the search
for his beloved missing queen,
the mayor was forced to postpone Halloween-
for no celebration could ever be started
while the scariest couple was missing and parted.

Jack searched through the town but no trace did he find.
"Perhaps she's out walking," he thought in his mind,
for many a time they had walked hand in hand,
out of the town and throughout the land.
So, calling on Zero, his loyal ghost dog,
Jack went on his way at a fastly paced jog.

Soon he had passed a jazz band of four-
"Have you seen my love?" he did quickly implore.
They sat a minute all scratching their heads,
before the sax player hurriedly said,
"Often we've seen her down by the grave
of departed Witch Hazel, picking deadly Nightshade."
So off to the crypts Jack flew in a flash.
Dodging past tombstones, he made his mad dash.

No Sally was there, but instead he did see
four vampires talking beneath an elm tree.
"My freinds while out flying did anyone spy
Sally in here or perchance passing by?"
"Not I." "Not me." "Nor have we either."
"I'm sorry dear Jack, but we have not seen her.
Go down in the pumpkins; Hyde's always there.
Perhaps he has seen your Sally somewhere."

Jack did not linger or absently dally.
He went to find Hyde and, hopefully, Sally.
"Jack, I've seen nothing of Sally all day,
though before you go and head on your way-
while tromping about and searching the patch,
a curious sight i did happen to catch.
Going into the woods with my eyes did I see
the sulking of shadows. In fact, there were three."

"Who it was, I don't know, but I'm willing to guess
the woods hold the secret to your lover's distress.
Plus, there are the witches who could easiy tell
where Sally is with the simplest spell."
"Eureka!" cried Jack,
slapping Hyde on the back,
"My friend you're a genius, a creature of wit.
Yes, the witches, of course, how could I forget?"

So off Jack did fly, off into the woods
to find the two witches as fast as he could.
There by a cauldron the two witches flew,
stirring a potion of some unknown brew.
"Jack, we've been waiting for quite a long while.
We knew you'd be coming," they said with a smile.
"now we can't see it all, but we know she's in peril.
She has been kidnapped by Lock, Shock, and Barrel."

Jack ran from the forest with no hesitiation,
knowing the tree house was his last destination.
Inside the house were all Boogie's Boys,
playing wiht the most macarbre of toys.
"Tell me, where's Sally?" he yelled with might.
Terrified, the three cried out in fright,
"There!" They shouted. "Down the pipe in the wall!"
Jack ran, jumped through and began to fall.

Twisting and turning with no end in sight,
all through the darkness with no shade of light.
Finally, he fell into Boogie's old lair,
and cried with relief because Sally was there.
"Jack leave!" Sally yelled, "Go back. It's a trap!
Oogies Boogie is here. He's somehow come back!"

"And what a safe bet that you'd come here to find her."
said a different voice from somewhere behind her.
"By coming tonight to save your dear friend,
I'm afraid that you'll find it will soon be your end.
You stomped me, squashed me, nearly did me in.
But luckily, my henchmen helped build me up again.
And now that I'm back, I've come after to you.
I want my revenge for what you put me through."

Then Oogie emerged out into the light,
and as soon as Jack saw him, he started to fight.
Dodging and duck-ing a sword-wielding card,
Diving past bullets, Jack fought long and hard.
When it was over, and all said and done,
Oogie Boogie was through. Again, Jack had won.
And with the return of their King and Queen,
the town celebrated and enjoyed Halloween.

thats exactly what i was going to say. great minds think alike eh.

figmentfan im just curious is this a proposed ride for your disney park creation?.
because if it is i have an idea as to where it could go,the phantom manor/HM attraction could be in a new land called halloweentown.
the HM could be at one side of the entrance gates to halloweentown on top of a hill ala DLP's phantom manor.
from there it could be a sort of spooky toontown sort of setout for everything else and this NMBC ride could be right at the back of the land, the building could be designed as either halloweentown's town hall or a new halloweentown's transit authority or the HTTA for short,a sort of mimic of the TTA from tommorrowland.
just an idea i had, what do you think
