Microsoft Live Local has this really cool Birds Eye View thing, where it is like aerials but much closer and not from directly above, it's to the side. For now they only have it of Epcot, MGM-Studios, and AK! No MK though. It's very interesting and its all color.

They have a really cool view of EE...unfortunatly there is no direct link to it.
Go to http://local.live.com/default.aspx?wip=2&v=2&style=r&rtp=~&&msnurl=home.aspx?%26redirect%3dfalse&msnculture=en-US
Go up a little, double click around were EE is, zoom in all the way(there should be a camera with a line through it) and click Birds Eye View(to the left)
You have to click the boxes to the left to move around, most imprtantly click the symbal with the bigger buildings. Then find EE and the best view is from the North.
Enjoy! It's very cool!:sohappy: :wave: :p :D

Tried looking for it on Windows Live Local for WDW a couple months ago... must have added it pretty recently!

Thanks :wave:

If I were a motivated person, I'd take screen grabs of the bird's eye views and stitch them together to create larger images of parks and attractions.

Live Local is fun to play with but it has an atrocious user interface.

One of our board members did a little php dealie before that stitched together overhead satellite images. So, maybe he could get to work on this one, too? :D

Having never driven to MGM Studios, I have a question... after looking at these pics it would appear that the entire MGM parking lot is served by 2 toll lanes. Is there another set I'm not seeing? That seems like a ridiculously small amount.

So, looking at the pics of the area north of MK - I'm struggling to figure out some things...

1. I see the really tall, old, metal building with all the trash trucks around it. Is that an incinerator?

2. Due south of that building are the cooling towers. I also see a Power Substation north of the cooling towers and have followed the power lines to another substation to the Northwest. Which building is the power plant? AND, what fuel does the power plant burn to produce electricity? I see no train tracks or other meant to deliver coal - and I see no piles of coal. There are only two other fuels: nuclear and water. I don't see any high-volume waterways, so that's out. Help!

3. What is the green-roofed building in the cast parking lot north of MK?

4. What is the brown-roofed building south of the green-roofed building?
