Here are some pics from when I recently went to WDW for the annual pass holders sneak peek of Expedition Everest...

First one is from the great view from the broken track part of the ride from the very front of the train...

This next one is the same pic, but with labels, showing different landmarks from the point, correct me if I'm wrong..

1.) I'm not quite sure what it is, but it resembles the contemporary resort on the right, and Cinderella's Castle on the left..

2.) Obviously Epcot (SpaceShip Earth) ..

3.) I'm not sure which resort it is..

4.) The Swan and Dolphin Resort..

5.) The Tower of Terror..

These next few are pics of the line just to get into Expedition Everest, keep in mind, that these lines go all the way back to the entrance of Asia, and go back and forth about five times, the line just to get your annual pass checked so you could ride EE took about thirty minutes to get through. I can't imagine how crowded EE will be once it is actually open to the public (i.e. the people without annual passes) . I think you get the point of how crowded this ride was, this was taken on a saturday, in january.. it looks like a ride that is open to the public in the middle of July... :dazzle:

I'd try to confirm or deny your identifications in pic 2, but all I get are thumbnail sized versions of your pics in the links. Am I missing the way to see the full size versions?

I may be wrong, but from the way that building faces, and the distance between the two buildings in 1 i believe that those are actually large hotels on the east side of I-4 closer to Sea World. And 3 is the Coronado Springs Resort and Convention center. I also believe that 5 is actually the Wyndham Palace across from Downtown Disney. May be incorrect, but it just gives me a reason to go on Everst when I am at work on tuesday.

OMG - what a sea of humanity! Even though I have an AP, I'm glad I skipped the preview. Thanks for posting - the pic of the torn up tracks is great. You must have been in the first row (?).

yup, the very front row. The front row was best for the views, but the back (in my opinion) was best for the sense of speed.

Great shot! I don't think #1 is the castle and the Contemporary. They would be much farther to the left in the picture. My guess is something in or near Downtown Disney or even off property.

Looking at it again...I don't think it is in Downtown Disney, probably is off property. I beleive Downtown Disney would be located behind where we see the Swan and Dolphin.

Wait not bad

Just got back from a trip March 1. The wait for everest was 55 minutes to as much as 80 the day we were there. We had no trouble getting fast passes and rode it twice waiting a total of about 5 minutes. It was great! They did an excellent job on this ride it is excellent. I am not a big fan of the Animal park though. Does anyone else think the paths are very narrow? It was very difficult to navigate this park. I prefer all the other ones at this point. Thanks.
