Disney Buses at University of Florida

Yeah that big ugly pink bus came from Orlando's "Lynx" transit system. I think most of RTS' busses have come from other cities. I've seen some from Broward county I beleive among other places. Perhaps at one time Lynx had a line that ran over toward Disney property? I always laugh when I see the...

What would you like to see in the place of Tom Sawyers Island?

I like the island just the way it is, it's a great quiet place to take a break. However if you wanted to do something else to the island, it would be possible to create a passage through the fort and expand the back half of the island although it would mean certain death for the burning cabin...

    Your First Ride

Well, my parents and older brother went to the Disney in 1987 when my mother was still pregnent with me, so whatever they rode first, probably something in Tomorrowland. One of my earliest memories (Disney and not) is standing on the ferry boat with my Goofy hat and sunglasses on.

is there ANYTHING "southern" about the Orlando area?

Orlando to me is not the south. There are southern folk in Orlando, as there are anywhere in Florida, but the culture is not dominated by southerners. I live 3 hours south of Orlando in Ft. Myers. While the part of town I live in is rather southern (Ford F-250's and cowboy hats), the city itself...

no more Toy Stories. Lasseter axes Toy Story 3

Hopefully this sticks, but somewhere down the road they'll need money and pull out some more Toy Story movies. I saw the commercial for Bambi II the other day and the same quote came to mind every time I see a Disney sequel (especially the straight to video ones). "I've never believed in doing...

Will there ever be a ride that surpasses Spiderman at IOA?

The problem with the question of "Will there ever be a ride that surpasses the technology of Spiderman?" is the word "technology". Technology can be used in so many different ways to enhance the experience of a ride. It is impossible to say that one ride (in this case Spiderman) is the current...

Is our Space Mountain up for a Rehab?

As much as I love WDW's Space Mountain I'm all for a change as long as it's something new and innovative. I don't want to see a Disneyland clone or a DLP clone or anything of the sort. I'd like to see a brand new layout with some groundbreaking special effects.

    Mickey's Starland

You mention starland as a "Great Themed Land" which I remember as a child being one of the least themed. I certainly think toontown fair has a better theme, and the area as a whole really hasn't changed that much since Starland. You still have meet & greets, train station etc. To me though the...

hmmm, interesting thread indeed. This almost requires more thought than favorite attraction. Anyway here is my list. Magic Kingdom: Tomorrowland: Stitch - Did once, never again. Astro Orbiter - Nothing special, long wait Toontown Fair: I haven't even set foot here in a few years...

    SheiKra Opening Day

When I went buy they had rope stretched out to past the tunnell with all the vines around it, and it looked like it had been used already. My advice... get there early and only plan on riding once 'cause in my opinion it was worth the hour, but there is no way I'd wait over 2.

    SheiKra Opening Day

Just curious if any locals here on the board made their way to Busch Gardens today for the opening of SheiKra. Busch Gardens was really making some money today, everything was busy. I arrived a half hour prior to opening, waited at the gates, walked quickly to SheiKra and then waited another...

    Mission Space Question

Like many, it suprised me to see the amount of people who have gotten sick. MS really doesn't affect me at all, but I'm the type that tries to get the teacup spinning as fast as humanly possible. The only thing uncomfortable about MS to me is that the air conditioning vents still blow freezing...
