OK, so we might need help choosing a resort.....

Both the moderates are quite nice, though not as nice as deluxe. I personally prefer Port Orleans French Quarter, but that's just because I personally love the theme. Wilderness Lodge is probably your best bet if you want the MK, it is the only one in the area cheaper than the Poly. It is...

So is the Hyperion Wharf project dead?

It isn't detail vs. non detail. Originally Disney viewed the entire park as a series of attractions. The stores were attractions as much as the rides were. Now, stores are strictly revenue generators. Converting the Main St Magic Shop or the Liberty Square Antique Shop were essentially closing...

PHOTOS - Walls up at at the proposed DVC Villas location at the Grand Floridian

FWIW, it is unlikely that this contract could be voided, all depends on the "purpose" of the agreement. If the view of the castle were blocked there would be a point, but this construction won't be visible from the wedding pavilion at all from what I understand. Disney may be willing to...

    New Executive Structure?

There have been rumors for years about contingency plans set in place to divest the company of P&R to deal with a peak oil situation, where travel takes a long-term downward hit, not simply a temporary slump due to a down economy. Maybe they're looking 25 years down the road and think that P&R...

Any news on The Tiki Room?

Except - the reason they're adding another spinner in FLE is because even during low attendance times, all of the spinners get good attendance. Even Aladdin, apparently the least popular, almost never has an empty seat at the deadest of times. In contrast, El Pirata y El Perico is only open...

Any news on The Tiki Room?

I get you now. Seems you are saying, those things are closer, would bring greater continuity. Right? My point is basically that the whole area is so mishmashed from a continuity standpoint that I don't think it is a big deal. If you changed the entire market/spinner to a Polynesian theme, or...

Any news on The Tiki Room?

Wait, where is East Asia represented in Adventureland? Closest I can think of is SE Asia in the Jungle Cruise. Point being, once you dropped Caribbean Plaza across from the Tiki Room, I think any continuity was thrown at the window, not that there really was much to begin with. It is just a...

Any news on The Tiki Room?

Not to defend spinners, but re: margic carpets in general, it isn't out of place at all. General "foreign/eastern" feel. Does a mash of Polynesia/East Africa/SE Asia/Caribbean really lose continuity when you introduce the middle east?

    Hyperion Wharf Begins

Man people are unfair in this thread. Saying a plan won't happen if the stock market crashes is an unreasonable hedge? How many times has this actually happened? How about the Pixar Place expansion that was shelved when the economy took its first major nosedive? Does that invalidate all of the...

Should a 22 yr old buy DVC rental?

You never know where life will take you. I would wait until you settle into a career before you know whether DVC will fit into your life. It will still be there for you, but there may be times in your life when despite what you want, you won't be able to go on a luxury vacation. Even if you pay...

Pirates Pics of AA - Jack Sparrow and Barbosa Online!!

Anyone else think this is a little TOO realistic? Seems to clash with the cartoony character design in the rest of the attraction to me.

    Scathing Animal Kingdom Article

Has anyone ever done a comparison to # of attractions at AK vs # of attractions at MGM at the 10 year mark? Seems pretty comparable to me, but I don't have the time to actually sit and figure it out. Not that that is a huge compliment because I generally feel that MGM is somewhat lacking...

    Restaraunts

I don't see why "gussy-ing" up the menu adds to the cost. Compare the new Sunshine Seasons Fair prices to those of the American Pavilion. Is there such a huge leap that it would position the menu out of anyones budget? I think a menu highlighting regional american delicacies would be a great...

    Citricos / Seasonal Menus

Does anyone have an idea about what kind of a time frame Citricos and other places with seasonaly changing menus switch menus on? Kind of an offbeat question, just hoping to see a peak of their winter menu before we go down in January.

Yet another Indiana Jones stunt show RUMOR

Wow, I can't believe they made a freaking Waterwold attraction! Is it next to the Gigli dark-ride?

    Epcot Update 11/26/2005

Completely missing the forrest from the trees here. Re-read your original post, my reponse, then yours. See if you can't see the disconnect. Stop being defensive and start being rational.

Yet another Indiana Jones stunt show RUMOR

I don't think POTC would translate as well. Special effects couldn't be replicated, no water, etc. Also, not nearly as good of a movie IMO.

    Epcot Update 11/26/2005

Maybe this is just me, but can't the two be seperated? Can't Christians in general do good deeds while at the same time some overzealous people can waste time and money to inneffectively spread a message? Even if this person is a skywriter using his own plane and time without getting...

The Living Seas News: What to Expect in 2005/2006

I am curious if this will be bringing any off-stage changes? Will the research side of TLS be affected at all? Also, I will be very sad to see the hydrolaters go, they are a great effect. The preshow has been my favorite film Disney ever did for the parks and it will be missed as well.

    Spaceship Earth mysteries...

SSE is indeed the most visited attraction at WDW. Surprising but true.
