Do you think Disney would ever bring back the original Star Tours for a limited time promotion?

Call it wishful thinking or what you will but I think the original Star Tours does have a big fanbase out there. I could see Disney bringing it back as a limited-time promotion for the 50th anniversary of the franchise which also coincides with the 40th anniversary of the attraction. The...

Is the future bleak for Disneyworld, Disneyland, etc?

Seems like everything that could go wrong for Disney has done just that. Disney has had a string of box office failures, and is facing a loss by spending too much on Disney plus content. The parks are the only ones bring in the dough and unfortunately, they will probably suffer the most. How...

What is the best timeframe to do these attractions?

Hello all, I’m taking a trip to WDW next week and I am just curious about what time of day I should visit these attractions for the shortest lines: Flight of Passage, Navi Journey, Ratatouille, Mine Train, Peter Pan and Frozen Ever After. Thank You.

Disney Historian Jim Korkis has passed away

I’m sure many of you have read his books on Disneyland or WDW history or heard him as a guest on a Disney podcast. He was a very quick witted and knowledgeable Disney nerd and was a very interesting listen whenever he was on a podcast. He leaves us today at 72.

What was the Cinderella Statue initially intended for?

The Cinderella statue in the castle courtyard was created in 1965 and was sculpted by Blaine Gibson meaning it was created a full six years before it was a place in the Magic Kingdom. I know that Walt Disney World was announced in 1965, but was this always intended for the magic kingdom park?

How much of the original Epcot was paid for by sponsors?

Very curious about how the park came to be. I know it was a massive park and very expensive. Did each country in World Showcase have to pay for their plot of land? Did each Future World Pavillon sponsor have to pay for their attraction in full or partial?

Question about WDW ticket seller site

Hello, I saw an article on a site that shall not be named (starts with WDW). The article talks about a site called unlockedmagic.com and they’re selling the summer 4 park Magic promotion tickets with 6% off and the total comes out to $396 flat, so it’s cheaper without all the taxes that you...

    History of Tokyo Disneyland

So there seems to be a lot of history books and fun facts about the creation of Disneylnd and WDW Magic Kingdom but but barely any about Tokyo Disneyland. I would love for all to chime in and add any fun facts or history about Tokyo Disneyland and it’s first couple of years operating. I’ll put...

Which attractions became seasonal towards the end of their lifetime? Could this happen again?

I know attractions such as Mission to Mars and Fantasyland Autopia only operated seasonally when crowds were up and then would close down when it got slow. What other attractions went through this and do you think this could happen to any of the attractions we have currently (excluding the Canoes)?

    RIP Alice Davis

Disney Imagineering Legend Alice Davis passed away today at 93 years old. Her attention to detail was top notch and had a great sense of fashion and worked on the attire for attractions such as it’s a small world and Pirates of the Caribbean, among many others. She loved to preach Walt’s passion...

    Blue Bayou Reservations

Hello everyone, Every time I try to make a reset for Blue Bayou on the app, there’s nothing available for the entire two months it allows guests to reserve. Even when I try to make a date on the furthest date possible, still nothing. Anybody know what’s up?

Is Tomorrowland in the worst shape it’s ever been in (Post-1967)?

Tomorrowland today is definitely a shadow of it’s former self with a mish-mash of attractions and unused space. There is just no energy in the land and it is pretty ugly. 1987 was a perfect example of Tomorrowland and probably the 2nd best incarnation of the land since 1967. The roster was...

Was Worlds Fair version of Mr. Lincoln show different then the 1965 Disneyland version?

I know that the show premiered in 1964 at the NY World’s Fair and the show came to Disneyland in summer 1965 while the NY version was still going for another season. There were two versions of the show playing at the same time at different locations, we making it the first Disney attraction to...

    Reliable Wi-Fi and outlet?

Hello I will be going to Disneyland next week, but unfortunately I have an online class at 5:30pm. Is there anywhere in Disneyland park that I can sit with my laptop and trust that WiFi will be decent and I can plug in my laptop as well?

Does Disney California Adventure have enough repeatable rides?

Does Disney California Adventure have enough repeatable rides or is there too much filler? IMO, when I go to California Adventure, I just feel there are not enough great repeatable rides to keep me interested so I’ll spend an hour or two there and then go to Disneyland. What is your opinion?

What are Your Thoughts on Disneyland post 1984 (The New Disneyland Era)

For those who have been around Disneyland for a long time, pre-1985, how did it feel going into a new era under the Eisner/Wells regime? From 1955-1984, Disneyland roughly stayed the same, not much changed after Walt had passed and not many memorable attractions were gone (save for COP and...

How do you think Disneyland would look if Walt had lived 5 more years?

How do you think Disneyland would look if Walt had lived 5-10 more years? I don’t think much would happen between 1968 and 1971 because of Walt Disney World. I think we would have still gotten The Haunted Mansion as a ride regardless because the imagineers would have have convinced Walt about...

A little bit of Classic Disney 40 miles from Disneyland

In 1966, Walt Disney assigned Mary Blair to create a Ceramic Tile Mural themed to It’s a Small World and presented it as a gift to his friends Jules and Doris Stein to be placed in the pediatric unit at their Eye Institute in UCLA. Walt was so impressed with the mural that he had Mary design the...

Is there space at Disneyland to build new rides without replacing clasics?

First off I want to start off going land by land and seeing what space is available. Adventureland is super tight and all the attractions are pretty popular and classics. Frontierland has no trim either, just a little bit of land left from Mine Train thru Nature’s Wonderland but it’s not...

What is you’re Favorite Disneyland Decade?

For me, I would say 1959-1969 was the best and most expensive decade in Disneyland’s history. The exponential growth it endured during this time was staggering. Each land received many updates, attractions and new rides. Disneyland Summer 1959-1969 Adventureland: 1962: Jungle Cruise New Scenes...
