Just for fun- when you hit World showcase, what country do you start at?

Usually Mexico, but there were times we used to enjoy going to France first to eat a Les Halles before the rest of the World Showcase would open, which was thoroughly enjoyable. But it has been years since we last went...is Les Halles still open early before the rest of the WS?

Hotel parking for dining (GF & Contemporary)

Sorry I was away from the thread for a time, but thank you to both for the helpful responses! Much appreciated!

Hotel parking for dining (GF & Contemporary)

Greetings! It has been quite some time since my wife and I have been to one of the restaurants at The Contemporary or the GF. We're planning to go back soon but apparently there have been some few changes in terms of driving to them and parking since we were last there several years ago. Am I...

If you could create or expand a transportation network on property..

While the monorail and/or some kind of rail transportation would tug at my heart strings, perhaps a more practical, cheaper, and more efficient method might be something like the O-Bhan. I could envision an O-Bhan-like network around WDW property on its own special track, using both tunnels and...

    All-virtual lines?

That is definitely an issue that came to mind. Outside of the attractions the sidewalks and shops can already feel crowded. I can't imagine what it would be like if 80% of the people in lines were all suddenly free to roam. It's just that the idea of it sounds so much more pleasant...though...

    All-virtual lines?

Greetings all. The talk about the new Genie, Genie+, and LL system got my brain going about different things, especially since the concept of lines and waits has been a passionate topic for a very long time. I know this is an idea that surely must have been talked about before, and I realize...

    The Tipping Point For Change

I am very sympathetic to the points made by the OP. In fact, I had been obsessed with going to the parks as I have a family member who has been working there for decades. I used to go a LOT as a kid, still went as an adult, and even bought annual passes for my wife and I a few years ago...

    Nine Dragons

I also think they did a nice job with the renovation, which feels like just a few years ago, but in reality is probably more like 7 or 9 years ago. It's been quite a while since we've last been.

    Nine Dragons

A funny story about Nine Dragons... My wife and I consider it a decent restaurant--not high on our priority list, but when we were passholders we liked to eat at different restaurants at EPCOT, and we had a few pleasant meals at ND. Years ago, on our last visit, my wife ordered what I believe...

Disney Forum Fans VS Generic Disney Fans

It's not entirely all or nothing for me though I nearly always fall on the side of original ideas (especially when it comes to EPCOT Center). But I also realize some things do eventually need to be updated. I could go on ad infinitum about this, but I wouldn't have nearly the complaints about...

    Employee passes question

Thank you for that info. No immediate plans to go using a comp ticket but I was curious how they worked under the current conditions. Thanks!

    Employee passes question

On a semi-related topic, how are things working with the complimentary admission tickets that CMs are able to hand out? In the past I don't think these were subject to black-out dates, but I'd be curious how using a CM comp ticket would work under the current circumstances. Thanks in advance.

Which attraction were you terrified of as a kid.

I was absolutely scared of Space Mountain as a kid! Back then the sides of SM's cars glowed more brightly and there was a lot more of it visible while riding on the PeopleMover. I loved the PeopleMover but would even get scared just riding through the darkness and seeing the glow of SM's cars...

    Best Extinct WDW Foods

Unless they have returned and I don't know about it, my wife and I both really miss the cake cups they used to have at Cheshire Cafe some time ago.

Adult but not Signature Dinning for dinner

Yet one more vote for Sanaa. Having eaten at many, many places around WDW this is by far the best non-signature restaurant on property IMHO.

    Monsieur Paul

Over the years I've made it to nearly all of the signature restaurants and MP was easily one of my absolute favorites. It's been some time now since we've been, but the food was exceptional. We did not do the prix fixe because the items my wife and I wanted were not on the set menu, but I...

    Checking on Signature restaurant quality

I also really liked Bluezoo, and it had lots of options for my wife as far as seafood. The same for Jiko...really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere the two times we ate there previously. Unfortunately our outings to many of these WDW restaurants were quite a few years ago, which is why I...

    Checking on Signature restaurant quality

Mod--thanks for that suggestion...will definitely keep it in mind. Budget not really an issue as this was a splurge meal for a special night out with good food in a nice atmosphere. I was wanting a great steak but my wife is a pescatarian (only eats seafood). The sig restaurants nearly always...

    Checking on Signature restaurant quality

On one hand I'm glad I checked in here because I'm getting the exact sort of insight I was hoping to receive. On the other hand I'm sad to see posters confirming what I feared about the sigs doing downhill. We had so enjoyed the nice-yet-casual atmosphere and (at that time) very high-quality...

    Checking on Signature restaurant quality

Thanks for the insightful inputs so far... We have done some of the restaurants mentioned at Disney Springs and really enjoyed them. I think we were just looking into FF since we hadn't been since the re-model and wanted something a little more upscale interior-wise, but might look into Capa now...
