    Booking a villa

Admittedly it has been a long time since I looked into this (several years), but 6 months was what Disney told me when I inquired. Since that trip we have used DVC Rental Store so not sure if it has changed since then or not.

What do you think about the 7DMT?

It's a beautiful, smooth, Disney family rollercoaster with touch of a dark ride. To me closer to old school WDW than most of the rest of the new rides. Theming and details are pretty spot on. But, my son summed it up when he was 10 years old. If you could go around twice it would be better...

What attraction do you wish was still around that you could experience with your children/SO?

Horizons Really original EPCOT. It bums me out my kids can't experience it.

    Amtrak Train

I am in New Orleans so getting to Orlando by train is not an option (at least with any reasonable connection). But as an example, to get from New Orleans to Charlottesville VA: 14.5 hour drive, approximately $150 gas in my Yukon 4 hour connecting flight, $230 24.5 hour train (if on time)...

    Amtrak Train

Hate flying and would prefer to take a train everywhere. But every time I check a long distance Amtrak the cost is more than flying, sometimes much more (particularly for a sleeper) and the time required is usually longer than driving, combined with strange arrival and departure times depending...

    Uber around Disney

I've had MANY more creepy/weird Silence of the Lambs-esque drivers in cabs than in Ubers. Although I occasionally get a suboptimal driver or vehicle in Uber, they don't seem to last long if you report problems to Uber. No such recourse with cabs. We exclusively use Uber around WDW (do love...

Most Efficient Method to Arrive at Parks for Opening

Uber is the answer. No question about it for most efficient way to get around WDW any time.

    Controversy? Contemporary and Lyft/Uber

I was in WDW in 1989 on a high school senior trip. A resort card was definitely required to ride the resort monorail when I was there.

What's the max amount of time you could spend at WDW without getting bored?

I don't know but I would sure like to do some onsite research. Stay until I was ready to leave....and see how long it took.

What's the deal with the Haunted Mansion?

In two sentences summed up EVERYTHING that is right for me about the classic Disney MK and Epcot rides and EVERYTHING that is wrong for me about the new ones.... Don't get me wrong, I like many of the new rides. But they are too short, and I don't feel the need to ride them over and over again...

What are the smallest crowds you've experienced in WDW?

October 2003. We had one day, wife was in Orlando for a meeting and I was on the way to Tampa. We did Epcot. We had the entire place to ourselves. Walked directly onto and into everything in the park without breaking stride. It's the trip I keep wishing we could repeat crowd wise. No such...

What do you use? - External chargers in the parks

We have several of these (I have one and kids each keep one in their school and soccer bags): RAVPower 16750mAh Power Bank purchased on Amazon. Can charge iPhone multiple times, or two at a time, stays charged forever while stored. Highly recommend them.

How would YOU have made a Star Wars land?

Haven't been yet, so take this for what it's worth, but I'll bite on this one after reading and watching numerous reviews. Mos Eisley spaceport on Tatooine. To me no brainer. When I go to the World of Harry Potter I want to immerse in Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, not some unknown magical village...

    DVC Points Renting

We've used DVC Rental Store. It was super easy, no issues/problems, and worked just as if we had made the reservation ourselves direct with Disney for practical purposes. We will definitely use them again on our next trip. Our agent (Bethani) was fantastic, responded quickly and completely. Will...

    Monsieur Paul

Monsieur Paul is one of our must do restaurants on every visit. The food is exquisite, the service excellent and I would highly recommend it. The ONLY negative to me is that it's location in the park lends itself to a level of less casual dress than I would consider appropriate for a...

How much does the music at Disney add to the experience for you?

If the rest of life had background music like Disney the world would be a happier place for sure. The music is a huge part of the experience.
