    Ride Photo question

I have a friend going to WDW in April, I think it's only her second trip and the last one was ten years ago. They are not staying on-site, and she does not plan to get Magic Bands. She has heard though that the ONLY way to get ride photos is if you have an MB and purchase Memory Maker. That...

    Adding watch to Magic Bands

This is brilliant. I just got home yesterday and although I haven't worn a watch for several years I kept looking at my MB to check the time. I'm sure Disney will come up with something soon, but I like this better! Thanks for posting, and for the pics!

Why are the parks so busy now?

I live in northern Alabama. Our public schools just finished Fall break. It's somewhat like the schedule that was posted earlier, just not quite as nice. The kids start school in August, go to class for a 9-week quarter, then get Fall break. 9 more weeks, then a two-week Christmas/winter...

Confused by magic bands/ fastpass reservation

Do you have tickets linked to your account? Without tickets it won't let you add FPs.

Disney World on a rainy day vs. Disneyland on a rainy day- which do you prefer?

Well, I'm an out-of-tower who takes any opportunity on the West Coast to go to DLR, even during peak season. We walked on to several things that rainy late-December day, and that made it nice. Still I'd rather be at one of the Florida parks on a rainy day, just because they're more used to rain...

How to share Memory Maker photos with others?

My friend is at WDW right now. She has the Memory Maker added to her package. Is there a way she can share those photos with me at home, who is not a part of her travel party? With PhotoPass I could do it, but I can't remember how. I know I can wait till she gets home, but it would sure be fun...

    Barefoot

Definitely get water shoes. They're relatively cheap at Walmart and I bet the WM near WDW carries them year round if you can't get them at home.

Disney World on a rainy day vs. Disneyland on a rainy day- which do you prefer?

Last time I was at DLR I was surprised that they shut down the teacups and Alice because of rain. Not sure what other attractions might be closed due to rain (not thunder) but they seem to have more attractions that aren't under cover. But you're right about the lack of crowds, we were there...

Canadian Lumberjack Show to open at Epcot's Canada Pavilion in early October

I love Off Kilter and always try to arrange my Epcot time to catch their show at least once. I'm sad to see them go. But I'm reserving judgment on the new show. All we know is they're calling it a lumberjack show. But the first time I heard someone describe OK it was basically "a rock and...

Possible Changes coming to the Guest Assistance Cards (GAC)

I like the idea of the GAC having a photograph on it to prevent it from being used by someone other than the guest for whom it was issued. It's like anything else - there are always "takers" out there who will abuse the system but it's very difficult to stop them without making it harder for...

    A possibly dumb question ahead.

I've seen them at several of the resorts, but never at any of the parks. It is my understanding that one of the reasons they have "no swimming" signs in all the lakes is due to gators (but that could just be a rumor.) We spent a happy hour one night at Coronado Springs on a bridge over the...

Take the bus, or take the car?

I always prefer to drive everywhere except MK, if we're headed there we take the bus. But the last trip we flew instead of driving and decided not to rent a car and it was fine. I don't think I'd pay to rent a car unless we were doing a lot of resort dining.

    Adults + Meet and Greets

I love M&Gs!! My favorite was years ago at MNSSHP when I got to meet Tarzan. We took a photo and he signed my autograph book (yeah, it was that bad) and then he said. "Jane teach Tarzan write name. Tarzan write name many times today. People over there watch Tarzan write name. Give Tarzan...

    Free things at WDW

You can ride the monorail, but you do have to pay for parking which can be a chunk of change.

Short DLR trip in Oct.: Where should I eat?

Bengal Barbeque was our family's favorite on our trip in 2010. We wished we'd found it the first day and not the last day!

Is DLR as crowded as WDW during Christmas?

We were able to tag on a few days at DLR after visiting family for Christmas, but that of course means it's going to be the week after Christmas (27th-31st). We have been at WDW for Christmas several times and even though the crowds are crazy since it's not hot like in the summer it was not as...

Did Entitled Guests Kill the Magic?

I think this is a valid point. My first WDW trip was in 1997. I bought the Birnbaum's guide and picked the brain of a friend of mine who was the first "Disney nut" I ever met. They might actually have been in the DVC at that time? But that was it. We had a fabulous time. Thought of it as...
