Operating hours at Disney's Animal Kingdom extended for Pandora's opening

This is tremendous news - now if they would just update the calendars to have any other park open past 9pm in June. The June TAC calendar pdf dated 2/10, as of today 3/24, still has the three parks open 9 to 9 for the entire month, and AK from 9 to 10. May TAC was in roughly this condition too...

Just what everyone wanted a Death Star Spaceship Earth

If I recall the Mike W announcement of Monstrous Summer All-Nighter in 2013 was projected on the south side of SSE, facing INTO the park, not toward the parking lot side, so from the parking lot may not be a way to see this. (Maybe)

Pandora: The World of Avatar opening date contest

Thu. 6/29/17 - Last Thursday before 4th of July "weekend". Many will get Mon. 7/3 off work, many will get 7/4 off, and some will take both. Kids are out of school. Could be a perfect storm for 4 or 5 day summer trips. Would be a big opportunity lost if this date was missed. 6/30 already taken.

News Disney Not Renewing Great Movie Ride Sponsorship Deal with TCM ; Attraction to Close

I don't believe EPIC was running at MGM on opening day... There were "coming soon" signs, there and at Star Tours too. Maybe just the day I was there it was closed though (I was there first WEEK, andnot on first day). Now they may have been running soft openings and testing? Yes I think that...

So What's The Mysterious "Third IP" Coming to DHS?

Where is Chapek from again? Merchandising? So perhaps something based on cuddly plush... Already having toys that sell, and a mobile app. That has some kind of television tie-in, and could get a movie someday because Disney already owns it. There's never anything like this in real life now...

More places to get beer and wine at the Magic Kingdom

TS selling $10 to $15 six ounce pours of craft beers, this will not make a material difference. The price point is too high for many to go too far off the rails. On the other hand, locals showing up to MK pre-wasted, or with vodka in the water bottles, on any given Friday or Saturday evening...

Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I hope Florida keeps Star Tours, since it seems possible Disneyland could lose theirs (which is crazy times - Anaheim loves its Star Tours!). Not saying I like any of this, trying to think practically. But that is one long tunnel/hallway to join Star Tours with the rest of the land, on...

Escape to Walt's Wilderness - a new tour now being offered at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

Looks like fun. Roy's Wilderness would make more sense. Sign me up if there's a stop at Roy's cabin!

    Shanghai Disneyland Revealed

With all that space Shanghai is probably loaded with expansion pads! Let's hope they use up the pads wisely - more like Disneyland California, and less like EPCOT. ;)

    Shanghai Disneyland Revealed

A collection of thoughts. It all looks breath-taking, wonderful new lands and new attractions, plus interesting new takes on old attractions. This seems to be the very first "castle park" with no train. Perhaps they were trying not to limit the park immediately with the train and berm setup...

    New Dining section on WDWMAGIC

This Dining section looks to be a wonderful new tool, wdwmagic. Up to date menus (and hours of operation, also when each place considers start for lunch/dinner - it varies!) has become a key aid to planning lately, so I'm going to try this out. Permanently closed locations is inspired, for a...

The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs now offers passholder discounts

15% off I'll take it as an opportunity to try that Gibson's sandwich king burger... However I will NOT be ordering the $21 asparagus ;) yes I know that was an alleged typo of $12 but one popular menu website still lists this as $21 Though not likely, hope this means Boathouse joins Tables in...

    Possible Frontierland expansion

I had convinced (or deluded) myself major RoA changes had to be a "2025" or later thing. A 75% TL redo seemed more likely to be soon, there is so much they could do in TL, so much misused space that needs attention. Frontierland does need some love, and to utilize some barely used spaces -...
