    GAC to Become DAS

Sorry for the ot post, but this is a pet peeve of mine. Most of us ladies are forced to wait that long to use a restroom when lines are long. It's just the way things work in the ladies for some reason. My mom has mobility issues 9she has a Dr. prescribed EMV), and she has never once jumped...

    GAC to Become DAS

If you've read through the novel that is this thread, you'll have seen my stance on the issue and that I'm for the change. I do however see room for improvement. As to the issue of waiting in line each day to get an new DAS, I understand that could and most likely will be a problem. I do...

    GAC to Become DAS

God, I hope so! Still, not cool to say something like that though. Especially without a smiley attached to convey intent.

    GAC to Become DAS

It's basically Disney taking the IEP (Individual Education Plan) policy for it's GAC program. It's not important what is "best" of "fair". What's important is what is most "appropriate" for an individual. I think this new program fits that bill.

    GAC to Become DAS

I say again, as a parent of a child who has used a GAC in the past, I know first hand what it's like. I also know my child well enough to know when to take a break and refocus and more importantly, when to avoid a situation all together. For years we couldn't take trips that would keep us away...

    GAC to Become DAS

I'm not sure that's what is being said. The problem comes in when you have people abusing the system. This has put a strain on the stand-by lines at some rides. That's what people are upset about. Disney is working to fix the problem. If you've read through the whole thread, you'll have seen...

    GAC to Become DAS

You are an awesome parent! We did a similar thing for my daughter. It's hard sometimes, not to mention exhausting. But it's necessary!

    GAC to Become DAS

I applaud your cousin. It sounds like she really knows her son and does what's best for HIM, not what's most convenient for her. As a parent of a child with disabilities, I know this can be difficult. We had to sit out Disney for several years after my daughter had a terrible panic attack on...

    GAC to Become DAS

We've made use of the GAC in the past when my daughter wore ankle braces and had difficulty waiting in line due to her ASD, so I speak from experience. I think this is a change for the better. We only ever used the system on rides where the line was over 15 minutes long, and only used it one...
