    January trip

My family and I have been twice during this period. It is our preferred time of year to visit- heading back in 2024. The crowds are very manageable but you do see a few large tour groups. The weather can be tricky so bring a light jacket. I would say the only downside, is the pool is a...

News Primeval Whirl, Stitch's Great Escape and Rivers of Light permanently closed

Sad to see it go, mainly due to all the memories with my kids. They loved that ride!

Need Feedback - How many days in each park?

I agree, the Park hopper tickets are worth it. Our standard visit always includes 2 days or more to MK. With all the recent ride additions to HWS, I would consider it a 2 day must visit to ensure you get to ride the new ones. Other thing to consider is what time you are planning to start each...

    AKL or Beach Club???

We (family of 5) have stayed at both. We prefer the Beach club for 2 reasons- 1) ease of access- you are literally footsteps away from Epcot. We enjoy eating at different restaurants so being close to Epcot is a huge plus. 2) the pool- best resort pool. We always plan at least one day just...

New animatronics for the Country Bears.

I love the CBJ. Would I like to see CBJ get some Love- you bet I would. Of course I have a major concern should money be allocated to update, changes would be made to the overall show (song changes, etc.).

    PhotoPass ride photos...

We seem to always end up with random families in our photopass ride photos. Not sure how that happens, but it does add a different level of entertainment.

2023 could be the downfall Disney

I too do not foresee Disney EVER lowering Park prices. I would expect to see more discounts, should Disney ever reach that point.

Worst Attraction Fail/Malfunction you have seen?

We were stuck on splash mountain near the end of the ride. The issue was resolved rather quickly but due to people standing up, getting out of the boat (on the walk path) the delay lasted about an 1-2 hours! Of course the CM is yelling over the PA "PLEASE REMAIN SEATED!". If you even moved in...

What are the smallest crowds you've experienced in WDW?

Our first visit to animal kingdom back in 2001. The place was empty! We rode Kail River Rapids (can't recall if it was called that back then) about 4 times. Upon exiting the raft the first time, we noticed there were no other guest on the ride platform. We asked if we could jump back on...

    "One And Done" Attractions

My son has hated It's Tough to be a Bug since he was 5years old. He is now 14 and still refuses to watch it. My one and done is ToT. I don't like that free fall feeling.....

    WDWRR closing, Thoughts?

I have to say I really missed riding the train on my trip to MK in Jan'19. During our last trip in May '18 I believe we rode it around the MK 3 times in one seating. There is just something about riding it that is just so relaxing and enjoyable.

Opinions about Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios

My experience has always been on the slow service side. When we do plan to eat there, I typically plan to be there at least 1.5 hours. The food has always been good to fair. I have noticed my service time was different for being on the DDP vs NOT being on the plan (only one data point). I...

How is the opening of Galaxy's Edge affecting your plans?

We decided for 2019 we would do an early trip which we did in Jan. We are not planning to head back to WDW until maybe late 2020 or early 2021. Just judging by the Flight of Passage wait times, SWGE will NOT be for the faint of heart.

Pineapple Dole Whip and the Fruit Nutella Waffle Sandwich!

Current Soakage Factor At Splash Mountain

My family and I rode the ride recently in Jan. Of course no matter where you sit, you will get wet. Now the level of "wetness" depends. I sat in the front, so I got soaked. The other factor was someone in two logs ahead, decided to stand up (a kid about 6 yrs old). The cast member stopped...

How to swap wives on select Disney rides?

Took a family of 5 (kids ages 13, 10,and 8) for the first time to WDW last year. This year we went back and they loved it even more. On our last day, the father left early for MK. I asked where he was and his wife replied, "He is at the ticketing office. We've decided to buy Annual passes! "...

Space Mountain hurts me too much to ride it again until it's repaired. Anyone else feel this way?

We have just returned from a week at WDW and I have to agree with the org post. The ride is very uncomfortable. My wife complained of a headache after our first ride and ended her day at the MK short due to the pain. I'm not implying the coaster alone caused her headache, however; it was a...
