I said from seeing parades at DLR for the past several years that have strobes, the effect is most powerful at night/in the dark. Why would I lie about my own experiences seeing such?

The point is night performances. Having seen them all over parade floats at the DLR since POD... at night/in the dark, they're a beautiful effect.

That pretty much goes for the creative process for anything at WDI - whole parks, lands, attractions, parades, etc... Even in other aspects of the ent. industry, you basically always start out creating as big as you want, and then you mold it and cut it into something that is actually doable...

It would have been the icing on the cake to have more of the characters throughout the parade have custom designed costumes (as they usually do in other Disney parades). Particularly the opening and closing unit.

Most Disney fans just call him "Steve" because Disney goes by a first name basis when it comes to their employees (or "Cast Members"). Even on Steven Davison's WDI nametag, as like all others, it just says "Steve". You can call him that on his facebook fan page too...he doesn't mind at all...

WOW... they send the parade out missing entire units? I've rarely, if ever, seen DLR do that, unless there was some sort of emergency before step-off. I never saw the DLR parade dept. send out DEP with missing units while running at DCA.

I've been wondering about this too. I noticed bubbles are working on Ariel's float... so why not the finale unit (that originally had them in Jubilation!)? It really would add that extra little something to the finale... Does anyone have video of the ship moving? I still can't find anything?

This is very well said. Yes, all elements should be working, esp. only 4 days after premiering...but Steven's parades are often very complex technically, and it's not unusual for certain elements to need tweaking even after a parade opens. Happened with Parade of Dreams at DL too. And...
