Calling all Fort Wilderness cabin stayers!

The 1100 loop does not have any cabins. You may be looking at the 2100 loop directly behind it which is cabins. That one lets out on the road that crosses next to the 2000 loop. You can see a video of the entire 1100 loop here.

Resort Only - where would you stay and why?

My choice of Fort Wilderness is also not on the list. If you want rest and relaxation, there is no better place yet still a lot to do. Cabins or Renting an RV or pop up would be very romantic, being together yet rustic. Nothing like waking up to the sound of the boat horn in the morning.

Have you ever gone to WDW and NOT gone to a park?

I know a lot of people that stay at the Fort Wilderness campground and never go to the parks. It is very peaceful and yet has a lot to do there.

    First Time Visitor- What Order?

Depending on how late you get in the first night, I might go to Downtown Disney and get a flavor of Disney there. The first day in the parks is always MK. When you look down Main Street and see the castle at the end, you know you're there. Be there at rope drop for the ceremony, it's pretty...

    need help with June

We have gone almost every June the first 2-3 weeks and it will be about 95 every day and you'll get a quick rain shower, unless a Hurricane happens to push inland, then you'll get heavy rain. We never let it stop us and we were camping in an RV. The most important thing is to plan which park...

    Why This Resort?

Price, peaceful, best value. The fort, even if you don't have an RV now. There are places to rent a pop up with AC and the site for about $110 a night for up to 8, yes I said 8, people. Actually you can have 10 on a site for the same price. You can't beat that with a stick on price. It is also...

The One Resort You Wouldn't Stay At.

I own DVC at BLT and it's my least favorite. We usually stay at other resorts, when we're not at Fort Wilderness, our favorite.

    A room for 6 - asking for a friend

You can sleep up to 10 in one campsite at Fort Wilderness and camper rentals are available and sometimes can be way cheaper than another room. I know someone who is paying a total of $110 a night and can sleep 8. You also get the convenience and benefits of staying on the grounds. The...

Gas Prices affecting anyone's trip plans?

Try renting a pop up at Fort Wilderness. You can save the gas it costs to tow and experience the Camping end of it. Most of the people that rent already own an RV but saved more than the gas alone. You just can't beat the Fort for the whole experience.

    "Roughing It" in WDW

The Fort is a great place, whether staying in an RV or tenting it, depending on time of year. You may want to consider renting a trailer or pop up and splitting the cost. It's nice to be off the ground....lol.
