How crowded is July 17th going to be?

As luck would have it, my family and I booked a trip to Disneyland without realizing that part of our trip was going to fall on July 17 (the actual day of the 60th anniversary). At first we were thrilled, but when I read up on how it was for July 17, 2005 (the 50th anniversary)...it sounded...

    The pricing for Disneyland Resorts!!!

I would recommend considering the Caribbean Beach Resort. It is considered a moderate-level hotel, but both the pool and most of the rooms have been renovated/ remodeled in recent years. The rooms are considered the most spacious out of all of the moderate-level hotels. I have friends who...

Thank you for looking into that for me! :)

Could someone please do a quick availability look-up for me?

I'm hoping that a current DVC member could do a quick availability look-up for me. We sold our previous DVC and are getting ready to close on a new one, so unfortunately I don't have access to the DVCmember.com website for a couple of weeks. Could you please confirm if an AKL, Bay Lake, or...

    First Time at BLT

My first stay at a DVC was at a 2 bedroom villa in BLT too. I signed up as a DVC member shortly thereafter because we had such a great experience. :) Two quick things that I wanted to add are: Although DVC members don't get their rooms "refreshed" or cleaned as often as a normal guest, you...

    BLT- Reviews

I've stayed at BLT twice and have loved it both times. In 2010, we paid for a 2 bedroom villa with lake views for my DH, in-laws, SIL, and me. In 2011, my DH and I stayed in a 1 bedroom villa using our DVC membership...which we had purchased as a direct result of our 2010 trip. We love...

    BLT- Reviews

The first time that we stayed at BLT we thought that the bathroom doors didn't have locks either, but they actually do! On our 2nd stay, I noticed a little brass latch on the sliding door that if you push on it will make it pop out. The door will need to be completely closed before you can see...

    That Summer Apple Drink.!

B.F Clyde's is very good! California Grill has ACE Cider as well. I think that they carry either their perry or Joker (dry like Magners or champagne). My husband works for ACE and imo they blow all other ciders/ cidres out of the apple-y water. :D

Differences Between Disneyland and Walt Disney World

My name is Beth too and I agree as well :) We're starting our trip out in the San Francisco/ Sonoma area, heading into Yosemite, down the Pacific Coast Highway to Cambria, then down to Disneyland/ Los Angeles. California is a fantastic state to explore!

Differences Between Disneyland and Walt Disney World

Hi Beth! I've actually only been to DL once so far (for our honeymoon in 2008), so I'm far from an expert on it. We're heading back for our anniversary in September this year though...can't wait! This thread offered some great advice on the rides that are unique to DL and the ones that are...

Differences Between Disneyland and Walt Disney World

I have to chime in with my 2 cents on some things that were mentioned here :) Avoid the Storybookland Canal Boat ride. Yes, it has historical significance, but it's a pretty uneventful ride. You'd be better off looking up photos of it on the web. The Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage ride is...

How easy to book non-home resort?

From my experience, booking a non-home resort at the 7 month window pretty much guarantees that you'll be breaking up your stay amongst 2 or more resorts. The exception that I have seen is OKW and SSR.

Contemporary - Garden Wing Room vs Bay Lake Tower?

You can definitely book BLT through WDW...you do not need to rent points from a DVC owner. I have never stayed in the Garden Wing, but I can vouch for BLT being incredible! We prefer the Lake view over the Park view as it is not only cheaper but is more scenic imo. The kitchenette in the...

First Time At Caribbean Beach - Questions

No disrespect taken. I did some research as well and found that most websites indicate that CBR rooms are 340 sq. ft. and the other moderates are 314 sq. ft. Not worth arguing about for sure, but I just wanted to be sure that the most accurate info was on here...

First Time At Caribbean Beach - Questions

I've never stayed at CBR, but my husband and in-law's always stayed there until we bought into the DVC. According to my MIL, the rooms at CBR are slightly larger than other moderate hotel rooms on-site.
