Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

There are lots of ways to make paid FP work and many of them don't involve keeping the "free" option as is.

    Updates to the Seas Pavilion

That is a very, very low bar. I prefer doing nothing over the current incarnation of the Figment ride.

Any insight or guesses on when after hours will come back to hollywood studios?

Or Disney could do 2 after hours events at the same time (1 in TSL and 1 in SWGE). Why sell the park 3 times (EMM, regular admission, DAH), when you can sell it 4 times???

Any insight or guesses on when after hours will come back to hollywood studios?

Demand will depend on how much Disney would charge. I agree with you if a ticket is in the $100-$150 range, but there is a price point at which demand would drop off to a "reasonable" level. I have no idea what that would be though ... $200 per ticket? $250 per ticket? More?

    Updates to the Seas Pavilion

I hope not. The low capacity of this ride would be a mess at Epcot.

    Handling FastPass+ Disappointment

What couldn't you get? Other than FOP, SDD and 7DMT, all the other attractions are usually available at 60 days out. Also, you should search for the toughest to get FP attractions first when you log on to MDE at 7 am at 60 days out (instead of going by day or park).

Why is WDW so stressful, expensiv and overcrowded these days? The fear of dissapointment from a 2020-First-Timer

It wasn't completely on the fly. It took about 15 minutes of modifying before Peter Pan's Flight showed up. But we were on an afternoon break and DD4 really wanted another ride on it so I was persistant.

Why is WDW so stressful, expensiv and overcrowded these days? The fear of dissapointment from a 2020-First-Timer

This is not true from my experience. I was at MK twice this past October. On both days I got 4 or 5 same day FP (including Peter Pan's Flight) after my first 3 pre-booked FP. Once I even saw a 5:00 pm 7DMT (but my daughter didn't want to ride again so we didn't grab it).

Disney's Policy On Public Singing - Forming A Flash Mob

Years ago after IlliumiNations, my extended family (8 people including my 3, 5 and 8 y/o neice/nephews) sang Aikin Drum together as we walked from the Japan pavilion to the front of Epcot. We did it as a way to help keep the kids awake! Certainly not a flash mob, but we did have a few people...

The old location closed. It was then moved to a different location.

    Updates to the Seas Pavilion

Huh, if I had known that I would have misbehaved more as a child so my parents would send me to EPCOT. As I kid I loved 1980's EPCOT, and I consider it very Disney. I miss it, and am disappointed that my kids will likely never experience anything like it.

News Walt Disney World restaurants to begin expanding plant-based menu options

It's interesting how palates change after years of changing ones diet. 15 years ago, my mouth would water at the words bacon and cheese, but now I have zero interest in either. Doesn't sound appealing to me at all. But a vegan burger with kale and quinoa ...yum!!!

Disney is going to price us out of the Kingdom..

It doesn't seem to matter ... the prices keep going up, up and up, and the crowds keep going up, up and up. If you keep raising prices and the crowds keep going up, the market is telling to you to keep raising prices. Sure, there is a limit to what the market will bear for prices increases...

News New Signature Restaurant for Japan Pavilion - Takumi-Tei

I ask this seriously ... why is it considered rude or disrespectful? This seems very arbitrary to me ... like a group of people decided this 200 years ago and then others have continued to do it over the years. Twenty Five years ago, I wore a suit and a baseball cap (clean and nothing...

News New Signature Restaurant for Japan Pavilion - Takumi-Tei

I suspect that most guests not following the dress code are fine with the "other guy" not following the dress code either. I think the mindset is that "no one follows the dress codes at WDW restaurants other than V&A."

News Disney After Hours Events expands to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom

Can you imagine the price tag on an after hours event at GE? My guess would be somewhere between $500-$1,000 per ticket ... at least for the first year or two. And for the first few months, over $1,000 per ticket wouldn't surprise me.

Starting On-Site Trip on a Sunday ... will that substantially reduce FP+ options?

Thanks. I also owe you a thank you for your reply 15 months ago when I was deciding whether or not to bring my 13 month old son along with my wife, my 3 year old and me for our trip last November. We had the option to bring him along or leave him with my in-laws. I posted on the boards and...

Starting On-Site Trip on a Sunday ... will that substantially reduce FP+ options?

Thanks. Do you recall how many days out for 7DMT and SDD? We will be trying for SDD at 60+3 and 7DMT for 60+4 since we are only staying 5 nights. No FOP for us this time since neither of the kids are tall enough.

Starting On-Site Trip on a Sunday ... will that substantially reduce FP+ options?

If I book a 5 night on-site trip that starts on a Sunday and ends the following Friday morning, is that going to put me in a bad position for FP+? My thinking being that most people who are staying on-site that week arrive Friday night or Saturday, thus starting their 60 days earlier and...

Fountain & Bottled Drink, Popcorn, Pretzel, and Other Snack Item Prices Exponentially

That's a very simple way to look at it. The high price of snacks are just part of the calculation of the total cost of a WDW vacation. Customers can compare that total cost of a WDW vacation versus many other vacation options. WDW does not a monopoly on vacation options. Sure, once you are...
