    Shoes...

Agree, I can't find any flipflops in the UK that would be comfy for a day walking round Disney - you won't look your best, but it has to be trainers to make it through the day with the minimum of pain :-)

    Please decide for me!

Go for it, happy birthday, have a really great day....!!

Going to Swim in every pool that im allowed to go to :)

I thought the no-pool-hop rule applied to AKL and BLT too, but wouldn't be sure (maybe that was a rule when they first opened?)

    OKW- Reviews

OKW has a really relaxed feel as a resort - studios are nice and roomy (I think one of the biggest studios on Disney property) and nicely decorated. Be choosy about where you are on the property though, some of the Studios can be quite noisy if you're near a bus-stop. Never had a problem with...

Going to Swim in every pool that im allowed to go to :)

Like the restaurant at every hotel idea, taken over a fair few trips that sounds really lovely!! The pool hop sounds great too of course (the 3 pools as OKW are all lovely and well worth an hour of your time)...report back, why don't you try to get into the non-pool hop options too, now that...

    How booked is VGF Now?

We got a 1BV standard view for first week of January, so am there for my birthday on the 9th - yippee!! No standard view availability now so I think we just sneaked in on that....a lake view would be lovely but too many points extra for me :-) I guess the marathon weekend makes it a busy time...

    Waking up Tinkerbell

Hi there. You just need to be first one into the Tinkerbell shop on that day, then ask one of the cast members.

    question about swan and dolphin

Had several great short stays at the Dolphin, lovely spacious and comfortable (king size) room at what I think is a very reasonable price for a location where you can walk (or boat) to Epcot or Studios or wander round the Boardwalk in an evening. I guess it does depend what you want? It doesn't...

    Tokyo Dining

Thanks for your views everyone, not sure whether to try or not but perhaps see how the mood feels on the day. :dazzle:

    Magic Kingdom parking tip

I'm pretty sure the AAA blue line is at all 4 parks. We have bought a pass off eBay in the past and had no probs, but earlier post is right that there are copies out there which would be a waste of money. To be honest I always felt a bit of a fraud using it, there's nothing wrong with my legs so...

    The Disney Gift Card?

They are reloadable, we used them at the last Food and Wine Festival and were much much better than cash. We reloaded ours at the International Gateway shop, but I'm pretty sure you could do so at any of the shops.....I don't know if they expire, my money never lasts that long either!

    main street barbers shop

Apparantly, the Harmony Barber Shop began taking appointments from July 2010. You can call 407-WDW-DINE, Disney Vacation Club Member Services, or the lobby concierge at your Disney Resort Hotel to make appointments (according to another unoffical Disney site!!) My niece had her first haircut...

    Tokyo Dining

Thinking of trying Tokyo Dining on our next trip, as one of the few restaurants we haven't tried in Epcot. Any recommendations appreciated (I'm not a big fan of sushi :( )

If you only had 1 ADR...

Inside a park, it would probably be one of the restaurants round the world in epcot for me - I love the atmosphere in the San Angel in Mexico, but it's certainly not the best Mexican restaurant (though probably the best Mexican restaurant in Epcot :ROFLOL:) If you're happy to try outside a...

T-Rex Cafe - Am I out of luck?

You could always sit up at the bar if there are absolutely no tables, kids are allowed, it's quite cool as the colour of the bar changes and you still get to see the action and can order from the full menu. Ok, it's not as good as a table in the restaurant, but an option if you need it :)

Oh what to do? 2 days no plans!

Try eating at Yak and Yeti's on your Animal Kingdom day, then I'd swap Rainforest for Fultons on Tuesday. For Tuesday and Thursday, if you want to stay in Disney, I'd keep those free for going back and doing more at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Where are you staying? - I'd agree with the...

    First trip... Help!

.....agree with previous post, Stormalong Bay is a fantastic pool for kids AND Yacht Club is very convenient for Epcot (easy walk) and Hollywood Studios (slightly longer walk or boat), and a reasonable length bus ride to MK (or Monorail via Epcot) and Animal Kingdom. Pool at AK is very cool, but...

    First trip... Help!

Hi there, how exciting, your first trip to the happiest place on earth!! I'd recommend getting yourself a book called "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" which is full of really practical advice and reviews to compare places to stay, restaurants, tickets, etc. the choice is so wide...

Yak & Yeti: Table vs Counter???

We've tried and liked both....depends what you're looking for...for me it's hard to beat this part of the park for atmosphere and theming... Table service meal was good at lunchtime, - we found service upstairs was better (more relaxed and attentive), remember having a good dim sum starter to...

    Online Check In

It always seems to be more of a hassle to change rooms if you've used online check-in (and yes, we've always been given a choice if we ask to move to be closer to a pool, etc), personally I'd agree with earlier posts that I can't see any real benefit, the process wasn't any quicker when we'd...
