News Rogers the Musical coming to the Hyperion Theater

There's also the musical number written by Alan Menken for the original Captain America movie. I suspect that will be part of this, and is another 3 minutes. Probably 2 - 3 new songs on top of these two pre-existing ones and that's the show.

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Ah, right. In 2019 I believe it was to celebrate the opening of Galaxy's Edge (and shift some of the Star Wars fans to other parts of the park). But the 2018 schedule was supposed to be the norm.

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

Yes. It became seasonal, to only run during the month of May (for May the 4th). Assumedly they would have done the same this year had the park been open. There's also a Halloween variant for September/October. At all other times it's normal Space Mountain.

Downtown Disney District Extends to Buena Vista Street

Seems reasonable, and likely. Not really. Smokejumpers is already confirmed to be one of the operating restaurants, so it is really just a matter of if the Grizzly Peak bathroom would be open (and I don't see why not, it gives them another operating one) and if they are going to use that extra...

Downtown Disney District Extends to Buena Vista Street

Time to revive the idea of a "Westcot" for a third gate. The "World Showcase" concept is perfect this mode of operation.

Downtown Disney District Extends to Buena Vista Street

Sure. If a similar strategy were to hit DL, I suspect they would go through Main Street, into Adventureland, and all the way through New Orleans Square and Frontierland along the riverfront. That's the bulk of the dining options and most of it already is primarily outdoor seating. I don't see...

Downtown Disney District Extends to Buena Vista Street

Surprised they aren't making places like Award Wieners or Schmoozies part of this considering their easy proximity. I'm assuming there will be Churro and Concession carts too even though they aren't mentioned. Maybe if they expand this further later.

Will Splash Mountain's Removal change how often you visit Disneyland?

The truth is this will factor into literally no one's frequency of visits to Disneyland. The park existed before Splash Mountain, and will exist after it evolves into a new version. Literally everyone who posts on this forum (at least allegedly) loves Disneyland. No one is going to stop going...

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

I'm not talking about something in the super-near future anyway. I am talking 5+ years out. It's likely Splash opening with its PatF retheme is still 2-3 years at minimum to begin with. And none of this even potentially happens until that is done. What I am sure of is that Disney -is- going to...

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

Hey, I'm not even saying I -want- it to happen. Just that I see it being something probable to happen. Maybe, at least, they could keep it as a "Forested" Star Wars area. I do still think Pooh and Critter Country is in a bit of a weird position. I would love for it to get replaced with something...

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

Here is a quick and dirty rough idea of the space I'm talking about utilizing my cruddy paint skills. Pooh building roughly in blue, the entire potential area in red. You can do a lot with this space. And you can clearly see how it already borders into the Resistance forest of current GE.

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

The land that is currently Critter Country could be "isolated" in the same way if it is merged into GE. Paths and entrances can be changed. The railroad that passes through can be enclosed into a tunnel of some sort like it already is in other parts of its journey. In theory from inside that...

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

The park already has a lot of other dark rides, and Pooh is probably the worst one. The fact it is in such an isolated location is just an added negative for it. It's kind of wasting space in a way not entirely dissimilar to Monster's Inc over in DCA. I'd argue it's the one attraction in the...

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

It's certainly possible they could do that, but with PatF taking place in New Orleans and the current ride existing literally just outside of NOS... it seems logical that it would be absorbed into that land, which would lead to all these other potential dominoes falling. And like I said, I...

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

Sure but if you take Splash and Pooh out of Critter Country what else is left? Essentially a pathway with a gift shop/candy store, meet and greet space, and a churro cart. Once Splash is gone it just doesn't make sense to have a land entirely dedicated to one ride. And if they remove Pooh it...

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

Well I think short term nothing is changing because this proposed PatF changeover is likely not happening for a year or two, especially with COVID stalling other projects. Eventually once Splash is part of NOS, the entrance can easily change (technically it already exists closer to HM). It's...

Isn't Princess and the Frog offensive?

Absolutely not. This OP is inherently flawed. It's a fairy tale, and like all of Disney's fairy tales it romanticizes a particular time and place. Sure it's not "accurate" to the time, but it doesn't have to be. It's the singular Disney film out there (so far) that puts forth a black princess...

Is Critter Country getting a rename?

Isn't it possible/likely that long term, once Splash is rebranded and integrated into NOS, that Pooh goes away and that space is added to Galaxy's Edge as some sort of expansion? I don't see how Pooh just exists on its own isolated like that.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening reports and using Boarding Groups at Disneyland

Got to the park at 6:30 this morning. Was on the app right at 8. Only 10 seconds past the hour and my group got a boarding group... 116. We had a feeling it wasn't going to happen right then and there. But we still stayed all the way to 10:30 PM. The ride had over 4 hours of downtime in the...

    News D23 Expo 2017

I'm not saying Pixar isn't a decent chunk of Disney at this point. Or that the movies aren't great. I love a lot of them. In fact I am happy Ratatouille is getting a ride because that's one of my favs and the property is otherwise not being represented in the parks. But Disney at the same time...
