    Rides you were/are scared of

I didn't go to Disney until I was an adult... however, my first time there I was scared of Soarin'. I skipped it my first trip there. Then our second trip, I talked myself into riding it. I figured if I hated it, I could just close my eyes and never ride it again. I am so glad I rode it! It is...

    Which DVC with 3 couples?

I should have mentioned having a kitchen and laundry in room are important to us. So while I LOVE the Poly, it doesn't make sense for us until maybe the new DVC is open.

WDW Advice for Experienced Visitor But First Time With a Kid

I just got back from my trip with my 14month grandson and 5 year old nephew. We did 2 days at Magic Kingdom. One day was a non-party day and we stayed until fireworks were done. The park was PACKED that day. Like Pirates and Jungle Cruise were 2+ hours by 10am. It was absolutely insane. (We did...

    Travel Documents for Nephew

Hello all, We are very excited for our upcoming family trip. My daugher and her boyfriend are coming and we are bringing the boyfriends nephew, age 5. What kind of travel documents do we have to have for the nephew since neither parent will be with him? Just his birth certificate? Something...

I am in a DVC group on Facebook and while I haven't used them, everyone on the group gives them rave reviews.

Renting DVC points vs. on property resorts

You will be able to book your own LL and dinner reservations. The only thing the owner would have to do for you is book a dining plan, but that isn't even offered right now, so kind a mute point.

    Challenge suggestions....

Try to get pictures with as many "Walls of Disney" as you can. My teen daughter enjoyed that a few trips ago. The "Purple Wall" is probably the most famous, but there are several others if you google a list.

Pop century or port orleans royal room

Another option... save the $500 and stay at Pop. But when it is time to go to a park that you would have to use the Skyliner, use the $500 that you saved and get a minnie van. (or Uber or Lyft, but you get the idea).

Have you seen any pictures or videos of the refurbished 2BR villas? I have seen studios and 1BR, but not 2BR yet. Our 7th month window is right around the corner and I would love to some pics!

    DVC Stay with young kids

It is strange to me - we own at the Boardwalk and truly love staying there. But I have never really had much interest in BCV. I think maybe because we don't spend a ton of time at the pools. We haven't stayed there yet, but I don't think it is where we want to stay with 2 kids age 5 and under, I...

    DVC Stay with young kids

I talked to my daughter last night - She really wants to stay in the MK area because of daily naps. So BLT, Poly, Grand or WL. The kitchen is actually not as important to her as I thought, she said we could do with microwave and toaster. But she really felt in room laundry was important. (I had...

    DVC Stay with young kids

I hadn't even thought of studios at Poly. I loved staying there. I just thought the kitchen would be a necessity with a 1 y/o... but maybe I have to leave that up to my daughter. My SIL just thinks we are crazy for going back every year... I really want him to love it too. I probably am...

    DVC Stay with young kids

This.... all of this!!!! Our last trip we stayed at Bay Lake. The location, monorail and Steakhouse 71 were awesome. Bay Lake tower felt kind of dull. (Please don't flame me! LOL, I really think I would feel differently about Contemporary vs Bay Lake) We have stayed at Kidani a few times. The...

    DVC Stay with young kids

No car. We will use the kitchen for sure for breakfast. We always do a grocery order from somewhere. I would think that my daughter, SIL, Grand and the family friend will come back to the hotel every day for a mid day nap. They could possibly use the kitchen a little more for the kids.

Mears Connect - a Joke if Small Kids

I no longer have kids in the car seat stage.... but I can see where this is troublesome. If Mears tells me I am riding in a van - no complaints I will bring the car seats. If Mears tells me I am riding in the coach bus - no complaints I will leave the car seats at home. If Mears doesn't really...

Discriminated against FOR wearing a mask ?

I 100% happened. He spends most of his time in a bar and I have chosen to not set foot where he is after I saw it happen the second time. (One time the bouncer did remove him) I am sure it is battery where I live too. The bouncer did remove him the first time he did it. My point is... if...

Discriminated against FOR wearing a mask ?

Unfortunately I think this is true. I personally do not care if I see someone in a mask. I assume that they are making the best health choice for them and their family. Unfortunately I have personally seen some people who don't feel the same as I do. There is one example I have seen where an...
