Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

I think the How to Train Your Dragon and the Dark Universe lands will be a bit under the radar now, but will end up being incredible lands. I love the constant layering, and variety of rides in both lands. I think the IP is not a problem for both. It's more what they are going to do with it...

Disney Food Is Expensive and Worse Than Ever

The cost increase doesn't bother me as much as the decreased food quality. Or last trip in June, we went back to Skipper Canteen after having not visited it in six years or so. We had been there two times previous on other trips. I remember getting a sweet and sour pork dish the first time...

Disney Food Is Expensive and Worse Than Ever

Space 220 food was 'meh' for us. Food was just ok for the price. It was a neat experience though.

News Bob Iger is back! Chapek is out!!

For a variety of reasons, the Disney brand has been damaged significantly these last few years. This is not an easy thing to just repair. Even if Iger was to make sweeping changes and spending in the parks, I'm not sure it would help much at this point. Once you turn on a customer base and...

News Bob Iger is back! Chapek is out!!

While I am excited to see Chapek go, I still feel like this is too late. The Disney brand/ park experience has been too damaged at this point. Well, maybe Iger will just go and buy Universal...lol

    Where in The World?

As of July, the ones in Pecos Bills still have a dial tone. My daughter wanted to know what those things were and how they worked. Not sure if they will still dial out, but there is a tone at least.

Poor quality has come up a lot.

We noticed this in June as well. However, I will throw Disney a bone because the parks were extremely busy during the summer. However, 'preventive' maintenance probably would have gone a long way in this regard. We had at least two rides down in every park we went too each day over 7 days...

    News D23 Expo 2022

I'd be 'ok' with Moana, but not Zootopia. It just doesn't fit with AK for me. I feel like it would be much better in the Studios park, which badly needs another attraction anyway. Still, while Dinosaur and the parking lot fiesta are not great, I will miss having Dinosaurs as part of the...

Rain- Best and Worst Places to be Stuck

The best for me would be, as a kid, the time we were 'forced' to take shelter in Disney Quest from the weather. Best day ever. Worst, probably the time we entered test track line with relatively clear skies, only to come out for the speed test in pelting rain/hail.

News Disney Explores Amazon Prime-Like Membership Program to Offer Discounts and Perks

Well, I guess we know what the big reveal at the D23 will be.... Disney's answer to EPIC Universe ... Who needs rides when you can have bundle COUPONS!... maybe? Oh, and we plan on eventually finishing Tron....

Slinky Dog Dash vs Space Mountain

I'd like for them to shoot higher than a mediocre coaster, but you have a point as these would be more family friendly. Personally I'd like to see them mimic something like Lightning Racers from Hersey Park, or Lightning Rod from Dollywood (but less intense). The drawback on any of these...

    Pre-Trip Baby Does Disney - a PTR!

I will second this as well. Your child seems a little young so I was not sure on mobility, however, keep this in mind for future trips. We took my daughter to Disneyland in CA when she was just short of two. Tom Sawyer Island dirt was apparently way better than anything Imagineering could...

    Pre-Trip Baby Does Disney - a PTR!

I've taken my kids since they were infants. Should be a great time since you aren't going when it is too hot. Pirates might be iffy depending on your kid. My kids loved it. Went with my 2 year old niece this last trip and it was not for her. Don't forget about the train in Animal...

    Wilderness Lodge Vs Beach Club

Would definitely recommend Beach/Yacht Club. My kids are also 10 and 6. We stayed at the Poly this trip, but did Dolphin/Beach Club last trip. I feel like the Yacht club is nicer, but I like staying at Beach Club because it is so much closer to the parks. Stormalong Bay is amazing and is...
