    Big thunder reopening

I'm wondering what the results of the refurb was for big thunder which just reopened. As far as I've seen there isn't a related thread here. No videos up on YouTube yet. Anyone has anything to report on it if anything is different or not. I was hoping it'd get some upgrades like the Disneyland...

    Annoying change at Space Mountain

hmm... this is a bummer. space mountain is my favorite ride at both DL and MK. I used to find the version in MK to be superior, as it was one I rode first in July of 2011. The tunnel music, the windows, the games (which were nice as we had a 60 min wait) the star windows, and seeing the space...

2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

While I still want to check it out this year, I feel not quite as excited about the menus as I was for F and W last year or F and G earlier this year. I should be bringing my parents with me for their first trip to EPCOT since the ill advised time they took me and my 2 younger siblings (7, 5...

About to give up an ADR for V&A's Queen Victoria Room

Yes, that's precisely what I was going for, but she just wasn't having it. We're still going to have a great time together staying at bay lake tower :) it'll be our first time staying at a deluxe resort. We did pop century last year, and I enjoyed it very much as well. I digress, this is about...

About to give up an ADR for V&A's Queen Victoria Room

Thanks :) I'd like to go there someday maybe, but she just felt it was a bit much and isn't keen on dressing up either. She tells me she'd rather go to Raglan Road and enjoy the live performers and atmosphere there. I am very fortunate to have someone that can cook like that.

About to give up an ADR for V&A's Queen Victoria Room

Well... I had made a reservation for my gf and I to eat at the Queen Victoria Room on Sunday Nov. 23rd. I let her know about it and isn't really feeling it. She doesn't like the dress code requirement nor how much it costs, when she's very capable herself of making the dishes prepared there...

New Disneyland Big Thunder effects will they come to WDW?

just more proof solidifying my stance on disneyland resort being the better resort. park hopping is literally a hop, many of the classic fantasyland attractions still stand there, and everything just seems to be more well executed. Its probably why EPCOT has become my favorite WDW park. Most of...

    fireworks info for a newbie

I've viewed the fireworks from behind Cinderella's castle in Fantasyland and it provides and interesting prospective of the fireworks and they go off in front of and behind you and unless it's a truly busy day, that area won't be very crowded. I've heard and saw a few pic from watching them from...

Disney College Program -- Fall 2014

really disappointed to see they offered me quick service. it wasn't discussed very much in my interview and I've worked nearly 10 years in restaurants, including 5 seasons at a six flags doing quick service. I don't know if I can call the number on the offer to see if they can offer me something...

For the first time, I've finally seen the fabled mythical Brazillian Tour Groups

I've fallen victim to BTG's on previous visits. It's more to do with bottlenecking than chanting. There was a huge crowd in front of ToT as one person was talking to the CM in the entrance trying to get 30+ people to all ride at the same time and the CM telling them it just won't work bc they...

    Question regarding tickets.

Do the extra day at DLR... with the crowds as TP2000 explained, it'll be the best, most enjoyable and least expensive way to do it all, seeing that adding a 4th day to a hopper is cheaper than than getting a 1 day pass for a completely different park. I love comparing the differences in similar...

Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Horizons!!!

i believe the window to order was from nov 21-25. once all orders are processed at the end of the period, i'm guessing the shirts are made and then shipped 6-8 weeks later. earlier this year i bought a 'hatbox ghost' sold online in a similar fashion. You'll know when you're about to get your...

    No fastpasses available today?

while i took full advantage of this i admit, fastpasses will be going a lot faster in general i think. I was lucky enough apparantly to set up my fastpasses yesterday for TSMM RnR and ToT for the afternoon, letting me get a chance to go to DAK for a quick lap on their rides before hopping parks...

    Update: Escape From Tomorrow

I tried to find the specific interview I read a week or so ago about it, but the director said that shooting magic kingdom and disneyland as one park was a conscious decision artistically, but I'm sure there were budgetary reasons for it as well. To most that have spent much time at the parks, I...
