    Crowd Calendar Red vs. Green

We are planning a trip the first week of March, 2018. We usually take advantage of Morning EMH's and get a lot done in that first hour. However, this usually makes the park a "red" park on the crowd calendars. My question is, should we forgo the morning EMH's in exchange for "green" parks...

    Play Stay Dine Watch 2018

As long as you check in on a date that is included in the offer, it will be good for your entire stay.

Need help picking a 2018 week to travel to WDW

Was it warm enough to swim in the resort pools, the first week of March?

Question about CBR and edit my plans

The only thing I would consider changing would be your ADR for Crystal Palace to an earlier time, if you can find one. This would allow you to get done with dinner in enough time to find a good spot for Happily Ever After, which starts at 9pm that night. Either way, hope y'all have a great time.

    Adding Extra Tickets While On-Site

We're planning another trip and have a question about adding tickets while we're there. We're booking a package through Disney for 6 night 7 days, but with 6 days worth of tickets. We like to plan an off day and go to Disney Springs and the pool. My dilemma is that if we don't get everything...

    Fire @ boardwalk inn?!

There's no point in doing a fire alarm test for the guest's benefit. These people are here for days, they don't live or work here everyday of the year, like they do at college or work. If they did this for the guests benefit, they'd have to do them every couple of days in order to ensure that...

    Fire @ boardwalk inn?!

Seriously doubt it was a test. But, could have been one of several things, steam from a shower, dust in a detector, burnt food, switching from AC to heat with dust on the coils, someone smoking where they shouldn't be, an actual fire, a bad detector, or something else.

No Handles on New Refillable Mugs

According to WDWinfo.com, Sarasota Springs has rolled out a new refillable mug without a handle. I personally don't like this because when we were done with ours, I would use a carabiner and a piece of paracord to attach them to my backpack. Here's the link with pics...

Changes to the Dining Plan for 2017

Looks like the dining plan will be getting a couple changes next year. Dessert will no longer be included with a QS meal and you will get 2 snack credits per day instead of 1. I think this is great. I'll trade a QS dessert for a Dole Whip or Mickey Ice Cream an hour later. On the other hand...

Reedy Creek Firefighters planning to picket.

I can't speak for Reedy Creek, but I will speak for my dept. I know the stigma associated with a lot of firefighters is all we do is sleep, grill out, exercise, watch T.V. and so forth, and while we might do those things through out a 24 hour shift we're also subject to various emergencies from...

Reedy Creek Firefighters planning to picket.

For the record, I am not a Reedy Creek firefighter. I didn't want any confusion with my forum name. I'm just a career firefighter who likes Disney World... With that out of the way, I saw this article on one of the firefighter pages that I follow on Facebook and thought some of you would find...

    New DVC Resales Restrictions

Bingo! I've been looking into DVC for a couple years now and haven't pulled the trigger for one reason or another. I've done cost comparison between buying direct and buying resale and looked at the pros and cons to both. I totally agree with Biff, if anything, this gives me another reason to...

Disney Survey on implementing a $15 resort fee

I also wrote an email to customer relations after reading about this survey. They assured me it would get to the right people, (maybe, maybe not). Can't hurt to express your feelings about this.

New Luggage tags correspond with Magic Band Color

That's not true for these luggage tags. I received them and we're not using the magical express. I believe the magical express uses different tags. From the looks of it, to get these you have to book a package and live in the US (according to a previous Canadian poster).

CBR bridge to old port royale

I'm wondering if the Splash pad was closed for cleaning or something. Someone posted on the Caribbean Beach Resort facebook page that it was closed yesterday. A previous poster also mentioned it was going to be closed for her trip starting this weekend.

CBR bridge to old port royale

I believe it's closed until the 25th of December. I saw that somewhere else today and when I called Disney today I was talking to the lady and she said she thought that was right.

CBR bridge to old port royale

Any word of when the splash pad will reopen? When I called Disney today the lady said she didn't see anything telling her that it was due for a refurb or anything.

CBR bridge to old port royale

Wow, this is a bummer and the first I've heard about it. We are arriving Oct. 2 and have requested the Jamaica building. I haven't received an email or anything about the bridge being out. We've never stayed at CBR before, what other building should we request? We were wanting a refurbed...

GoPro tips and tricks for WDW

I've read that also. I decided to purchase http://www.amazon.com/Smatree%C2%AE-Aluminum-Handle-Mount-Cameras/dp/B00ESX8IFY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1441806936&sr=8-1&keywords=smatree+grip instead. Hoping this one is allowed also, it doesn't extend, but it's a hair longer than the grenade grip...
