    Workers want pay boost

Sorry, but pay raises are a normal and an essential part of the economy and of the workplace. I don't grudge any cast member a pay raise, whether management or not. CMs are an essential component of Disney's success and a key part of Disney's difference when compared to competitors.

Main Street U.S.A. hub redevelopment at the Magic Kingdom

I don't like the idea of losing the encircling water. I understand more viewing area, but I also see them taking out more trees and making it look more and more blah and desolate. I also don't like the flat Main St. without sidewalks while we are at it.

Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Yes and because the hat is still there. Although who resurrected this thread? It just keeps going and going...just like the misplaced hat.

Which disney world vacation would you choose?

Option 1. Swan is on-site and gives you the same transportation as Boardwalk. Both resorts have so much to offer over the other resorts. If having the deluxe amenities and options is important to you, then definitely go deluxe. I also don't care for the dining plans because they are over...

Splurge on resort or something else?

DVC has spoiled us with the deluxe resorts. They truly are amazing in and of themselves. If you plan on taking advantage of your resort and not just mainly do the parks, then go deluxe. If you plan on spending almost all of your time at the parks, then I would say go moderate. The Deluxe...

    Little Mermaid in 3D canceled

Mary Poppins should be re-released in theaters for the 50th (AS IS!)

Main Street Bakery to Serve Starbucks Coffee

What a shame! The smell of Starbucks burned coffee on Main Street! Yuck! And only some of the favorites from the Bakery on the menu? Not acceptable!!! If you wanted great specialty coffee, then you should have brought in Barnie's CoffeeKitchen not Starbucks and kept everything else the...

New modern day costumes coming to American Adventure?

Wrong! The entire pavilion was meant to evoke Colonial America. Otherwise they can just redo the buildings into a square gray concrete and glass block generic building from the 1970's to go along with the horrid costumes. Maybe we can update Mainstreet USA costumes with polyester bell bottoms...

New modern day costumes coming to American Adventure?

Ditto. The theme of AA is colonial. The building is colonial. Costumes of WS need to distinctly tell a story about the country. Generic costuming simply won't do in WS, ever. It's just like when they had the managers go from themed costumes to suits. Awful. Instead of being creative and giving...

    Be Our Guest Reservations

Cinderella's isn't a buffet either and they require full payment to prevent multiple bookings. A deposit of $100 that can be applied to the meal to prevent someone from booking multiple dinner reservations on the same day and/or booking a dinner reservation every day of the vacation (when...

    Be Our Guest Reservations

December 1-5 booked solid. I bet the online system crashes Wednesday morning at 7 AM. They should have required a $100 deposit to prevent multiple bookings just like they had to do for Cinderella's.

    Be Our Guest reservation poll

Nothing available December 1-5!!! Not a nice experience and they should have charged for the full meal like Cinderellas to prevent multiple bookings!

Gas Prices affecting anyone's trip plans?

If they stay elevated for the next six months, it will mean a tightening souvenir budget before the next trip. If this latest spike fizzles and prices start to drop down again, then no long term harm. However, it does mean a change in driving versus flying. Flying, while always more than...

    Best deluxe resort

Hands down it has to be the Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you want to truly be immersed in an experience, then nothing beats AKL. The sights, sounds, and smells (yes smells lol) all win out here. The resort is immaculate and never ceases to amaze me about the things I missed from the previous...

    New Year's Eve Announcement?

Two problems with this thought pattern. 1. This promotion sucks and does nothing to entice new people to Disney. 2. AP and DVC people account for more and more of Disney's bottom line. We are the ones who kept Disney Parks churning during the Great Recession. Keep treating us poorly...

    New Year's Eve Announcement?

sorry my error. this offer is just so lame but they shouldn't have put the enter now up until 12:01

    New Year's Eve Announcement?

Don't try entering. Sweepstakes inactive is all you will get. If they said every Saturday from 7 am until 7 am Sunday for the entire 2012 that may have been something. The 2 week offer which screws DVC and AP people, giving them no incentive, and the one day open for 24 hrs on leap day is so...

    New Year's Eve Announcement?

Way to go Disney it says enter contest now. I tried and it says sweepstakes inactive. Way to Blow Disney! Another nice way to treat your AP and DVC people too! :fork:
