A Question About Disney Pins from the early 2000's.

I believe they were metal backs at that time. They were not the rubber Mickeys they use now.

Holding your hands up in the air on Space Mountain

One his first ride, we told my uncle (probably 6'1") that he had to be careful of sticking his hands up. We were just messing with him, but we could hear him screaming every time he thought he was going to hit a part of the frame. We weren't even on the same track as him - his screams were that...

I think my mom may have a pin-trading problem... Haha

My dad made the mistake of buying me an exclusive pin on a Disney Cruise we went on in 2000. I have been hooked ever since. I say he made a mistake because when he bought it for me he promised to buy me one for every day we spend in Disney together. I think we've been back almost every year since...

    Talking trash can ??

Push was the highlight of my trip in 1997. My grandpa still talks about it. To this day I buy him Tomorrowland trash can gifts (ornament, salt shaker, etc.) for Christmas.

    PeopleMover at night

JIMINYCR took the words right out of my mouth with the comment on Astro Orbiter. TTA is great at night but I think the Astro Orbiter tops it.

Best Attraction To Visit at Night?

Astro Oribter is a great one at night. Everything looks awesome when lit up and you get a nice 360 degree aerial view of Tomorrowland.

OMG I LOVE my "Alone" Time at Disney......Some of the things I love to do

In all my countless hours spent at Disney, I don't think I've ever been alone at the park. I do love going to the gym at night though at Old Key West and just wandering around the resort on my way back. Gotta work off all those Mickey pops

If You Could Pick Any Attraction Prop

The creepy doll at the end of Tower of Terror. It's my favorite ride and would be funny to place around the house at night to surprise people

It's the first day of your WDW vacation...

Go to downtown Disney to look at pins and eat dinner. Raglan Road is usally the favorite restaurant, especially with the bread pudding they serve

    Who here remember this?!

Like others have said, my first trip was in '97 when the castle was like this. I was five at the time so thought it was amusing and didn't really know what it looked like normally. Not sure if I could handle all of that pink now but I think it was fine

    Its in the details...

I'm a fan of the Mickey shaped waffles at Olivia's, the palm trees in RnRC, and the lights in the pavement at Epcot.

    Let's talk pins...

Pin collecting is one of my favorite things to do that involves Disney. I like to collect ToT of HM pins. I also have a Disneyana book and try to find some of the older ones from there on ebay. I'm not much a trader though, I only buy ones that I want to keep. My obsession started in 2000...

    Song of the South?

I too have tried very hard to find this film but have been unable to get it. There are some clips of it on youtube though. Apparently the video has never been released in the US in its entirity due to it's questionable content regarding racism. Although it has never officially been banned, it...

First and Last Things To Do

We always start with Buzz at MK on the first day. The last night is usually something different every time, we don't have any tradition. I really like to spend the last night at DTD and eating at Ragland Road

    Pin trading 101

I am another big pin collector myself. As other people have eluded to, a good strategy would be to buy cheap pins on ebay for like $0.99 so you can trade them while in the parks. If you are going to be a frequent trader this will allow you to have a lot of pins which you don't particularly...

    What's your favorite street entertainment?

I love the people that walk around in DHS. I always see them on Sunset Blvd but I'm not sure exactly who they are. Last time I saw them they were doing a special act since i was the beginning of the Christmas season. They're hilarious. I could sit and watch them for hours. I'm always bummed...

    The World your way

For me, there's no particular way I go around the parks each time. There is an exception though. At MK I always ride Buzz Lightyear first. Other than that, I just get FPs for the most popular rides and roam the park depending on what I feel like next, even if that means crossing the park 20...

Do you "follow" the Disney company?

Yup, I would say I follow the company fairly closely. I am interested in how they make decisions and what opportunities they come across. Also, as I'm sure many other people on here are, I am a stockholder so of course I have that interest too. I must say that specific news about WDW is most...
