I've seen so many of the AKL value and club level rooms on the rental forums for ridiculous prices. Those people must walk them for months, and they want the money back for their time.

Completely agree. I'd def consider a few nights in this room as part of a split stay, moving up to a 1 bed (or even a true studio) elsewhere for the second leg of my trip. Don't know if I could stay a full week in this room.

I saw a 3d walkthrough of the turret rooms, and it looks like there's a balcony off to the side. Might be a little smaller than the other rooms. Looks like the sitting area also offers a second tv.

So how would someone go about getting one of the turret rooms? Just a request and a prayer? They don't seem to be a separate booking category, but that extra seating area makes the room quite a bit larger.

Yes. I have her log in so I am managing both accounts. Invite was accepted. I still pop up in her "friends you don't have plans with" list and she pops up in mine.
