    Steve Jobs has died

Here's to an awesome afterlife, because he made a lot of lives here much better. Surely there's some kind of justice in this universe of our's ;-) Thanks, Steve - and a very saddened farewell.

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks (Part II)

Okay, Eddie, here's a question I don't think was in Part I (and congrats on over a million views as well): As we all know, transportation to the Magic Kingdom is interesting. In your opinion, is the build-up of the ferry or monorail ride from the parking lot worth the difficulties of the...

What's a Good Book for the Trip Down?

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions. I finished work on my first published novel a couple of weeks ago, and it will be nice to read Walt's Vault on the way down (reading for fun, what a concept! lol). Come join me on Rock'n Roller Coaster! =)

What's a Good Book for the Trip Down?

I doubt anything could keep me out of the parks =) So Vault of Walt sounds like a good read. Anybody else have any reviews of it?

Monorails to no longer operate during Evening Extra Magic Hours

IMHO, shutting down the monorails during extra magic hours is a very poor idea. I would much rather see the ferry shut down, and if the monorail isn't available have backup busses.

    Either is good for me.

What's a Good Book for the Trip Down?

Just curious if anyone has any suggestions for a good read during the flight down in a few days.

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

I didn't think you'd be able to answer with just one person =) This entire thread has been really interesting to me because, from a very young age, I was always designing things on a massive scale. I remember when I was nine, my family went to Disney World, and once back at the condo, what...

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

Eddie, I've seen you mention so many different people who were inspirational or contributive to your work as a designer / Imagineer, and I was just wondering: If you had to name one person throughout your career, who would you say has had the most impact on you in regards to your style and...

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

It will be a truly sad day when Steve Jobs passes on. I hope Mr. Jobs is able to improve his health and live on into a great, old age. The world needs people with vision and the courage to go for it. Death ends the contributions of the people in this life, but their legacy from those...

Only if Dundee also makes an appearance and declares "that's not a knife."

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

Well, with the continued talk about Animal Kingdom, here's what I would do if you gave me the lead position on a project to fully realize Animal Kingdom with five hundred million dollars. 1) Create a nighttime entertainment show on the the waterfront near Expedition Everest. Use specialty...

    Brazil Pavilion in Epcot?

I would be quite happy to see a martial arts show in Japan. I think it would be an excellent addition. Ninjitsu, karate, samurais, etc.

    Wally Boag died today

If you think Disneyland is cool, wait till you see what Walt built in Heaven. I hope Wally's a part of it because he'll certainly be missed here. Great contributions =)

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

Love the idea, Eddie. Any additional indoor attractions for AK would be appreciated. If you were to put in an omnimover attraction that told the secret story of the jungle by moving people past 3D screens with great narration, you could have a real winner. And, please Disney, don't dumb down...

    Wonders of Life???

Microsoft has an estimated 50 billion dollars on hand currently for spending purposes. They're doing just fine.

Who is this "flow and capacity numbers" person? How do you know them and why would they tell you such a thing?

The Enchanted Tiki Room is coming to the Magic Kingdom!

Did the cover say "Audio Animatronic" on it?

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

First, let me say I'm not interested in some hardcore, scholarly debate over whether or not Animal Kingdom qualifies as a "full day park." One, it's subjective, and two it's not a political or religious question... it's a theme park for crying out loud. That said, it's not generally couth to...

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

When the park's operating hours are half the Magic Kingdom's operating hours, it's a half-day park by default.
