News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

I was actually going to mention that myself but didn't want to veer too far off topic. I like the old Bass Pro store in Forest Park better but the location off Union-Centre is better. Hopefully, they can finish off the new buildings and maybe I can experience Epcot with any walls for the...

    Innoventions Music Removal Watch

I thought that it was a nice soundtrack but no variation takes away some of the enjoyment level definitely. I was listening to the old original soundtrack that they brought back for the 40th and it was awesome due to its originality and various themes.

Remote working at WDW & in-room desks disappearing?

If I knew that I would be working while at Disney, I'd stay at Coronado's Gran Destino tower. It has very large working spaces since it cates to a business crowd.

    Rides you were/are scared of

Mission Space. Mainly because I sometimes fight motion sickness on spinning rides and figure that, by the time I know, it will be too late.

    Don’t Stay Here - Disney's All-Star Sports Resort

I think that Katiebug has a new account name.

News New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

And Disney would have spent untold millions on it which would have been subtracted from budgets for other rides. The worse alternative would have been that it proved unpopular in the way that you described and Disney used that as evidence that new rides don't move the needle in the way that...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

and Hagrid's is mostly outdoor. I don't think that TRON compares to any of the UNI coasters as they are for different audiences. Hagrids has seven launches, a backwards section, a drop track, and is generally much more thrilling than TRON. I would have a difficult time comparing Guardians to...

Trip Report Shortest Retirement in History? *Part Tu*

Completely agree. I had a boarding group and went to get in line. When I saw the line (similar to how you described it and going back and forth) and mixed in with the knowledge that the line moves slow, I chose to just ignore it and continue to other rides. I would have purchased an ILL but...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

I agree completely. Coaster lift hills are pretty much the only part that adds length to coaster's ride time. Kings Island's "The Beast" is 7,400 feet long with a nearly four minute ride time. However, you spend half that time on two lift hills and so the true coasting part of the ride is...

News Soarin' Over California returning to EPCOT for a limited time

Completely agree. I always look forward to Patrick's pre-show and the music is perfect. I prefer the California version because it looks more real and, as stated above, really resonates with me. The scents, the soundtrack, and visuals all combine perfectly. Around The World feels like it was...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

One thing that I remember is that Iger stated that the big expenditures for WDW would not start until the latter half of this decade in one of his conferences. So, they might not start anything, i.e., shovels in dirt, until 2027 or 2028. I'm guessing that they are betting on a) Their fans...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

My thanks to both of you for explaining this. I still shudder to think about how crowded the park will become if they carry through with this but no use worrying about it today.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

I realize that this has been discussed ad nauseum but expansions need to go in Hollywood Studios. The Kingdom is packed enough and has a wide assortment of rides whereas Studios really needs to be developed further. Some people-eater rides, such as omnimovers or boat rides similar to PoTC...

How Many Days for You? Part 12

Port Orleans Riverside seems to be a popular choice right now. I'm ready to walk around and see green grass, flowers, and trees rather than the winter landscape (sans snow). I think that it has been grey and gloomy for two solid months now and I'm ready for something better.

Rumor Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

Yeah, that picture was so saddening. I really miss that ride even after all this time. It's why I am scared of Imagineering touching Spaceship Earth. It is a great ride as is but could definitely use the ride system upgraded, fix some of the scenes by cleaning or repairing but not changing...

    Number 1 resort

Budget comes into play. If a one-time only, I would stay at the Wilderness Lodge due to the theming and beauty of the entire resort. My pick for being more budget conscious would be Port Orleans Riverside.

Hacienda de San Angel vs. San Angel Inn

My wife wants to eat San Angel and that is on our to-do list for our upcoming trip. The ambiance should be great. The smells from the restaurant always make me hungry but we never ate there in the past.
