what should I order for my bday dinner at Narcoossee's?

Another vote for the surf and turf. It is one of my all-time favorite meals that I've had on property (and I've had more than my fair share), absolutely delicious! :)

    Breakfast at Old Key West

DH and I both love Olivia's. one of the best breakfasts I've had on property. Like someone else already said, definitely a hidden gem.

    Type 2

You should be ok. Like it has already been said, the amount of walking that you'll be doing will help a ton. Personally the only meal that I've had a bit of trouble with is breakfast - we usually do quick service for breakfast and especially in the parks, the choices are pretty carb-heavy. I...

Best Bang for Our DDP QS Buck?

It's already been mentioned but here's another vote for Kringla in Norway. Their club sandwich is MASSIVE - definitely enough for two to share - and it's absolutely delicious. And definitely hit up Earl of Sandwich if you've never been, best sandwiches on property.

Today s National Cookie Day! What is your favorite cookie at the World and where do you get it?..

Karamel Kuche (sp?) Caramel apple oatmeal cookie, possibly the most deliciously evil cookie to have ever been made. DH and I are contemplating a day trip to Epcot in order to obtain more.

    Earl of Sandwich..Your favourite Sanny.

Three cheers for the All American - IMO better than the holiday sandwich, and available year-round! DH swears by Hawaiian BBQ and Cannonballs.

    Had Lunch at BoG

DH and myself attended the new Fantasyland passholder preview on the 11th. We originally walked up to BoG and got dinner reservations, however I didn't feel like waiting until the evening, so we cancelled dinner and chose their quick service for lunch. We were both impressed with the overall...

Recommend the best walking shoe for Parks (not sneakers)

I seriously love the comfort that comes with Crocs. Problem is with most Crocs, heaven forbid it rains. There's no way to walk in Crocs without feeling like you're going to slip out of em once your feet get wet. Ecco makes a great (and much more expensive) sandal that's entirely waterproof...

Favorite Quick Service Breakfast Outside the Parks?

Personally, I think Earl of Sandwich's breakfast sandwiches are just as good as their other sandiwches.

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

Couple of weeks ago, walking in Frontierland, I passed a rather large man who was being pushed in a rental stroller. He was holding a baby in his arms, rocking it and saying "waah waah".

Question for anyone who has done the Disney Alaska Cruise

We sailed in early May - second sailing of the season. The price was decent and we got a ridiculously low price for an upgrade when we checked in, as the cruise wasn't even close to sold out. We had a fantastic time, however: at the time we sailed, the salmon had not yet started to spawn...

Never been on a Dis Cruise....thinking o taking our honeymoon on one

We spent our honeymoon on a Disney cruise. To be honest, the only times I was even aware that there were many kids on the ship were at dinner and at the shows. Even then, it was not like anyone's kids were running around like crazy; they were all pretty well behaved - maybe because they were...

Marthon weekend / 1st half marthon

You'll have a blast! DH and I did our first half marathons this past January with the Disney Marathon Relay. Disney really does a great job with their races, and it's even more fun than the pictures and videos make it look!

    Tusker House lunch review

I've eaten there a couple times and really liked it. Someone else already mentioned their specialty juice/punch, which is really delicious. They also have these little tarts with mandarin orange slices on top that are good enough by themselves to make me want to go back again and again and...

Why no ticket system for Disney buses?

Wow, surprised to see this thread is still going! With the talk of ECV's, I feel the need to share this story. DH and I were most recently at Disney World for the Disney Marathon weekend in January. It was a Sunday night, and we were waiting for a bus back to our resort from Downtown...

    Dining Suggestion?

Wow thanks everyone for the recommendations - I was able to talk DH into giving Jiko a shot for our first night. I think he'll love it. We're going back to Rose and Crown for lunch the following day, interested in what their new menu has to offer :slurp:

    Dining Suggestion?

Thanks!! I've heard a lot of great things about Jiko but to date the only reason we've never been there is my husband. He won't admit it but i think he's a bit scared of the menu. I'm glad to hear that Boatwright's isn't a bad choice, but I'm going to keep working at the idea of eating at...

    Dining Suggestion?

My husband and I will be going up to MK for a couple days in May for the Expedition Everest Challenge. This visit will be our last stay at MK for some time, as we will be welcoming our first child to our family later this year. In the past, we've eaten at many signature and non-signature...

Narcoossee's at Grand Floridian, Any Good?

My husband and I love love love Narcoosee's. Probably our favorite signature restaurant, second only to California Grill. Even then it is a very close second. Service has always been excellent, the food is always incredible, and you get a great view for the fireworks, too.
