I've got a Resorts problem.....I'm trying to get help.

Nah, I feel your pain. That's why we always split stay, I always want to explore new resorts! I'll be sad when I finish off the list and have stayed in all of them!

Trip Report *Completed* The Rain Filled Graduation and Cancer Free Celebration Trip

Looks like you're having a great time! I just had to post because if your dad's shirt is any indication of where you graduated from med school, two of my dearest friends graduated from that very same school! Must be a great school then!

    Beach Club or Boardwalk?

Couldn't agree with you more! We stayed at BWV last year and BCV two years ago on our honeymoon. Both rooms were in great condition, and we enjoyed our stays at both resorts immensely. If I had to pick one over the other, my vote would be BCV. One, we own there (duh!). Two, transportation...

    Swan & Dolphin fans!

We actually honeymooned at the Swan. Some people hate the scent of the lobby, but I happen to love it! I prefer the Disney resorts, but you won't see me turning down an offer to stay at the S/D!

    Why Do You Run?

I signed up for the 1/2 last weekend after wking up and realizing how horribly out of shape I've become. I simply was tired of making excuses for myself and letting the pressures of life get to me. Right now, every run/walk is sheer torture, but after every run I instantly get a feeling of...

    Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

I just signed up for the 1/2 last week after waking up one weekend and realizing how badly I need a jumpstart to the rest of my life. The longest I've ever run was 9 miles back when I was in high school, and my morning runs are more exercises in torment more than anything else, but I simply...

    Captainkidd's Trip Report

Thanks for the report Cap'n. We're heading out tomorrow night. Hopefully the tour groups have dissipated somewhat. And thanks so much for putting my mind at ease about BWV. I was kinda bummed our waitlist for BCV didn't go through, but I'm sure we'll have a great time at BWV. If anyone has any...

    July 2012 Roll Call

You're killing me! That's when I want to be there! BCv is our home resort, but we played around with our dates so now we're going to be staying across the lake at BWV. Have a great time there, and if you want to switch, just let me know!

Allowing all guests staying at Bay Lake Tower access to the Top Of The World lounge

After going up there last October, I kinda liked the fact that it wasn't very crowded and we could watch the fireworks without feeling like a sardine.

Why are Bay Lake Tower guests allowed to use the Contemporary pool?

Fair's got nothing to do with it. First, Disney policy is what it is. Second, previous posters have mentioned that pool hopping it is a perk of being DVC members, and even then there are certain exceptions to that perk. Personally, as a DVC member, I could see how allowing non-DVC members to...

    July 2012 Roll Call

My wife and I will be heading down July 27-29 at POR then July 29-August 4 at BWV with her family coming down to join us! A bunch of firsts for this trip for us....our first stay at POR, our first DVC vacation, our first stay at BWV, my first vacation with the in-laws  soooo looking...

    Obsessed with Resorts?

Couldn't agree with you more Cap! I think it's safe to say that we all have our obsessions with all things Disney, but to criticize or invalidate another's opinion simply because they don't agree with your own is not only narrow minded, but downright ignorant. Everybody has their own special...

Am I the only one who finds Stormalong Bay to be overated?

For the third time, when you start a thread titled "Am I the Only One Who Thinks That Stormalong Bay Is Overrated?", you're not extolling SAB's virtues, that's for sure. If people are freaked out about the clown at BWI, then that's their opinion. None of us are starting a thread title "Do You...

Am I the only one who finds Stormalong Bay to be overated?

Now you're just being plain stubborn. Sheer geography tells you that the BC is the closest resort to the IG. Time it, pace it, measure it, do whatever you like, you're going to lose that argument. Sorry BWI Fan, not everyone agrees with you so if you want to stay on the other side of the...

Am I the only one who finds Stormalong Bay to be overated?

:ROFLOL: Whether or not people like Luna Park is beside the point you were trying to make when you titled your thread "Am I the Only One Who Thinks Stormalong Bay Is Overrated?". With a title like that, I wasn't the least bit concerned about what you liked, I was more concerned about...

Am I the only one who finds Stormalong Bay to be overated?

It's pretty clear you're a big fan of the BWI and it's also pretty clear that you aren't a big fan of SAB and the BC, given you're documented experiences there. That's OK, whatever floats your boat, I always say. Respectfully, you can't expect us BC fans to sit on the sidelines while you start a...

Am I the only one who finds Stormalong Bay to be overated?

Absolutley not! SAB is not overrated at all! I personally like it because there are so many nooks and crannies that it never really feels crowded to me. Besides, I love just floating on the lazy river! Having said that, I'm staying at BWV at the end of July and can't wait to hit the clown pool!

    Jellyrolls

Also keep in mind there is a cover charge to get in. The place is great fun after a day in the parks!

    First time with kids

Three words come to mind....TAKE.....THE....NAP! I honestly don't know how my parents handles me and my brother and sister all day in the parks with no relief in sight. As long as you get to the parks early, head back to the hotel for swimming and nap time, and then head back out for evening...

    August 2012 Roll Call!!

I, too, am planning to be back in WDW between the 20th-27th. A couple of reasons to celebrate. First, it'll be my nephew's first visit to WDW. Second, we'll be celebrating my father's birthday. Third, it'll be our first big family trip to the World with all of my extended family. Finally, it'll...
