I'm new so not sure if right place to ask this - do you have to be staying in an on-site Disney Hotel to have a chance at the 7am virtual queue boarding group for ROTR? My understanding was that it was recommended to use non-wifi anyway so how does it matter?

Is there any real possibility of getting decent Fast Passes for any of the newer attractions for those who stay offsite, given that you do not have the 60 day window? Usually stay onsite but considering an offsite hotel. Thanks!

This is starting to make a lot more sense to me now. In effect, by doing things this way (FP+, MyDisneyExperience, mobile app) it's possible that more people are taking advantage of 'getting' a FP (and ahead of time) and therefore making the standby lines shrink and putting most of the riders...
