Disney Passes on Bluey Theme Park Rights?

I thought it was a cute show, better than most but nothing super special. Then I took my 4 and 6 year old to the traveling play. Disney On Ice this is not. At that moment I fully understood this was not a show for kids, they just don’t realize that.

News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

I’ve been trying to figure out how the did the first season of “the Santa Clauses”. Bob came back between the first two episodes being dropped and # 3 I didn’t watch season 2, so I have no idea how this all ends.

News 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

They’ve always done this. It’s just the medium has changed. There was a 30-60 minute tv special on Discovery or travel channel back when Everest was built about how and why it was built like it was. And if you go back to the original “Disneyland” TV show there were many segments where Walt...

News Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser to permanently close this fall

My understanding is the last voyage is based on the contracts for the equity entertainment cast. Maybe they could hammer out some thing short term (like they do for Epcot festivals), but I doubt it.

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

They are 3D stick figures. Just 3D stock figures that only look like something from a specific angle, otherwise look like an amorphous blob for the rest of the lagoon. It would be like the star gate, but less defined imagery higher.

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

Tough to be a big opened before bugs life Buzz Lightyear space ranger spin (first appearance of zurg) opened before Toy Story 2 Shows at the studios (beauty and the beast, the original Pocahontas stage show) opened day and date (or at least really close) with movies.

    Rumor Disney's 100th Anniversary

There is a Dumbo ride vehicle on display at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. That to me says it’s somewhat iconic. https://www.si.edu/newsdesk/snapshot/dumbo-flying-elephant-disneyland-ride

News EPCOT's Harmonious to be replaced with new nighttime spectacular Luminous

I’be been thinking about the drones people keep thinking will be included, and they might not be as beneficial as people think. One of the repeated complaints about the current actual show is that you “need” to face the star gate to get the show as expected. I’m concerned drones would be a...

Chapek's comments - he doesn't want anyone on this board at WDW any more

Reason #1: the labor market… go back 50 years ago with 1 park, 2 hotels and a camp ground… Disney could hire the cream of the crop, the top of the labor pool and demand the best service from them for the pay they offered. Now with 4 parks, 2 water parks, dozens of hotels, a shopping district...

MagicBand+ coming to Disney Cruise Line?

I read this as MagicBand+ will work on the cruise ship. Original magicbands/magicband 2.0 will not.

News Chapek FIRED, Iger New CEO

Now I am not a fan of Bob C., but he’s using some Walt terminology there: “And as I'd sit there while they rode the merry-go-round, did all these things, sit on a bench, you know, eating peanuts, I felt that there should be something built, some kind of an amusement enterprise built where that...

Will WDW Add Weight Limits to Ride Signage?

you are thinking of the aqua-duck on the fantasy and dream. The aqua-dunk is on the Magic and is one of those slides where you are standing up and they drop the floor out from under you.

Candlelight was back last year. The choir make up was different; but the show was the same.

Will WDW Add Weight Limits to Ride Signage?

On the Disney Magic cruise ship. They already have a weight limit listed for the Aqua-Dunk. (300Lbs). So it’s not unprecedented with Disney; but as other posters have pointed out, there are not many attractions in Disney’s portfolio that would warrant one.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek hails the metaverse as 'the next great storytelling frontier' and sets up a new team at Disney to create new experiences

I am so sick of companies trying to hop aboard the train to the future and be ready for the “next big thing” thinking they will be the cornerstone of what is successful when the future is today. Historically the companies the double down on their core customer of today and their money maker of...

News Walt Disney World introduces new Disney Weekday Magic Ticket

Maybe I am wrong… but haven’t they always released a florida deal ticket this week? It’s been a few years since I last went down to run a marathon (blew out my knee in 2018… now it sounds like bubble wrap). But I feel like there was always some sort of “new resident offer” I did a quick Google...

News Walt Disney World holidays 2021

We went to Epcot yesterday and saw the early candlelight show and my wife noticed that some of the performers were wearing mask while singing. Not just the golden choir but some voices as well. They looked like a solid color and not the blue pixie ones the average Cast wear. Has this been...
