Ideas for couple in their mid-20's

I'd be cautious if going to Rix at CSR, a group of friends and I last summer used the bus system from our resort to DTD and finally to CSR only to find that it was closed with a convention private party. Such a waste of time, we should have gone to RR or the Boardwalk. Looked like they were...

    Wishes/ Illuminations Cruise

I've done the Wishes cruise, it was extraordinary. We had a great captain, too. We had paid extra to have the music in our boat (it was presented as an option) and also celebrated a birthday with a cake. I'll never forget my niece saying "I'm eating cake...on a boat!" The whole experience...

    Your vote counts-narrow my choice

I've eaten twice at GF Cafe - don't think I'll be back. Dinner was better than lunch but nothing I'd rush back to repeat. We were very disappointed in the food and service at lunch. I'll always remember the waiter, upon his first approach to our table, looked at the window (instead of us) and...

Favorite snack from Germany's Caramel Kitchen?

We went last fall when passholders got a free small bag of carmel popcorn - it was terrible, very soggy and chewy. We were so disappointed! I'm pretty tolerant when it comes to snacks, expecially free snacks, but I couldn't eat it. I wondered if they had yesterday's popcorn ready for the...

    Creystal Palace- really that bad?

We ate at the Crystal Palace for breakfast in December, as stated above the normal breakfast food was fine, and I especially remember the great fruit and super good granola. Go for it (and you're already inside the park!)!!

Can I leave the Carousel of Progress during the show?

I've actually done this - about midway through. I was a late teenager and with my mother, we didn't realize we were breaking the rules at the time. We exited to the backside of the building and walked along the circle and were quickly met with several cast members "asking if they could help"...

Turf Club Bar and Grill and Big River Grille Pictures please....

I hope you like it, too! There was a large piece of romaine with grill marks and the dressing and cheese were great. One of my friends got a chicken sandwich that looked yummy and I also remember they had a sugar free dessert with pound cake and strawberries that was a big hit.

Turf Club Bar and Grill and Big River Grille Pictures please....

Had a great lunch with friends at the Turf Club - the caesar salad was the best I've ever had! My friends had good looking sandwiches, too. Sorry, no pictures.

    Boma... Good Grief!! :-(

I was at Boma 2 weekends ago and it was $34.99 a person, not too bad with the TiW but I sure hate paying 18% tip for a buffet.

Questions about dessert party with children...

My husband and I have been, and we are definitely big dessert eaters and loved every minute of it. If desserts aren't for you or the children, there really would be no point to go. If fruit was in the dessert, it was in a crust with a sugar topping. There wasn't just like a big bowl of fruit...

Is Christmas at WDW worth it?

YES! It's worth it for the music alone.

Getting to other resorts from yours..

I know you said you'll have your car, but I wanted to make a comment about the taxi prices. 2 weeks ago I stayed at POP but had conference meetings at the Bonnet Creek Hilton. I must point out that the Hilton was completely visible through the trees from POP, but with the woods and possible...

    Vacation reservation change quesiton

Dwarful- Do you mean adding free dining to the passholder rate? I've wondered about that, is there any way a passholder would ever receive free dining without buying one day base tickets for everyone?

    POFQ Reviews/Opinions/ Experiences???

I'm a big fan of POFQ, for a variety of reasons. Definitely our favorite! Last trip was building 5, it was ideal. 4 wasn't too bad either. The resort is small enough that no building would be too far away.

    HELP FQ or POR

I've stayed in both and my opinion is FQ - if for nothing else than the fact that you are the first ones on the bus and the first ones off. Also I like that it is a smaller resort. Have fun!

    Seriously?

It's true - you must plan and reserve ahead. My family didn't believe me either, and made much fun of me for planning "our every move" for a big family trip 2 years ago. I look at it this way - at least we got to eat at great places, even if we did know 4 months ahead of time. I've watched...

Valentines week- no rooms - why so early?

I go every year at that time for a conference, and the description of "perfect storm" is accurate - race fans, Mardi Gras avioders, Valentine's/President's Day, cool weather, cheerleading competition, and the Homebuilder's conference is right about the same time, too. We've learned to make our...

9:50 PM arrival...to use or not use the yellow tag?

Wise choice just to get your own bags - We've never used the yellow tags, just prefer to keep our bags with us. It's never been an issue (except Southwest uses bag claim A and then we walk across to B for the ME) and we tip the driver a few dollars when we get to the resort. In December we...
