TCM teams up with Disney to refresh Great Movie Ride

Great News! I love TCM. And not too long ago there was that speculative thread about would GMR ever go? Nice to see those concerns for the future subsided. I'll take this.

Trattoria al Forno to replace Kouzzina by Cat Cora on Disney's BoardWalk

One rule I have: With a Parm, any type, veal, chicken, etc. If the cheese is a perfect geometrical shape, I get suspicious. The rest of the red flags people pretty much mentioned already. Worst experience ever. Chicken parm with a yellow American Kraft single. Yup, it happened. And I could...

Trattoria al Forno to replace Kouzzina by Cat Cora on Disney's BoardWalk

Can I pinch myself and hope that it will be a "filler" until a different concept is put in?

Trattoria al Forno to replace Kouzzina by Cat Cora on Disney's BoardWalk

Not gonna lie…this makes me nervous about Disney Springs. And what gets put there. With all the restaurant choices they can make in the World, whether Disney owned or not. Come on. This???? Can we not shoot for underwhelming?

Trattoria al Forno to replace Kouzzina by Cat Cora on Disney's BoardWalk

Er, ok, just saw the menu and pictures. Sorry, taste buds did not go into overdrive. I feel a lot of posters chicken parm pain. I was more agitated over the salumi. Was that like two slices of salami, rolled up to look like more on the plate and all peppers halved for ditto effect? I just...

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

Thank you for the likes from the other posts. Wayne and Wanda just crack me up. Too silly. Oh, I would love them in HS. Would never happen but it would have been cute with the Old Hollywood theme. Eh…let us do another one for the heck of it. They are too funny. Hopefully Sam is ready. And poor...

Trattoria al Forno to replace Kouzzina by Cat Cora on Disney's BoardWalk

So basically, I have no reason to ever not choose Flying Fish…or my favorite spots at WS. Sounds like standard Italian. I would have to see the menu, otherwise not a stand out for me.

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

For another Old Hollywood reference, check out It's A Small World and the Joan Crawford connection. Apparently, she got the ball rolling on that one.

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

They were mostly in the first season and then the "singing team" were fired by Kermit for being terrible. LOL! If you haven't, when you get a chance, check out their other videos. I wish there would have been more. The whole premise of how they try so hard, get so into it, and then something...

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

Totally. Backlot tour, sad to see it go but I can at least understand it on many levels. GRM…er, no. I wouldn't be able to.

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

On a lighter note too, and a cute tie in with HS, I just marveled at a cute nostalgic connection I didn't realize from childhood that I just remembered recently. I love the Muppet Show and I always watched it when I was small. I was so happy when they went to HS. I'll leave out the what could...

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

My issue is, that they would have to think about this very carefully, if this were ever up for consideration….it is just not like removing or removing/replacing a ride or attraction. It is, but you have to be careful with the icons/theme/anchor ride/attractions. It is more than that. The...

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

You beat me to it. I was going to include the quote, but I didn't. I was also going to put, "Here's looking at you, kid." But I love Claude Rains. He is brilliant in everything he did.

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

Casablanca is a classic. It was included for many reasons but obviously for Bogart. Considered one of the finest actors of the Golden Age and even today. Actually, if you want your heart broken check out Petrified Forest. Bogie, Bette Davis, and Leslie Howard at their finest. Yeah, if you see my...

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

My grandmother loved Leslie Howard. Money was scarce during the Great Depression, but when she could get some change, not very often, she could go to a movie, or passed a stand on the street and see her girlhood crush's picture. We will never have that again. Hollywood has changed. The...

    Great Movie Ride to Close?

If that goes….I don't even know what to say. You go to SSE, it is an icon and there is a ride experience. You go to the the Castle, there is dining, shops, it is an icon, etc. You got to AK. You have the tree, Bug's Life, lovely etchings, it is the symbol at that park. You take away...

    Restaurant suggestions for each park

Magic Kingdom - The Plaza - steak fries that are different from the standard park fries - Burgers and sandwiches as a nice sit down lunch. They do dinner and of course ice cream, sundaes, etc. But the cheesesteak is killer. Thin, chopped steak in the vein of Philly-style. diced pepper and...

    Favorite Restaurant in Epcot

Les Chefs and Le Cellier. I have eaten there the most and tried different stuff, and you can't go wrong. Love San Angel decor too, a nostalgic favorite for me, but I noticed that it depends what you order. My biggest surprise and I could kick myself again, was that I had never eaten at Rose...

    What restaurant for 2?

Flying Fish is out of this world. We had dinner for two my last trip, and I could kick myself for never going earlier. We shared a bunch of plates, different things, and everything was great. Sorry, I never had the dining plan, so I don't know if they are on it. Went to a site and for that...

    50's Prime Time Cafe

For an app, those onion rings and dipping sauce are killer! And I have never had it, but many rave about the fried garlic and herb cheese. I know the pics look great. I think it was once off the menu and then made a comeback. Totally on my to-eat/do-list for next time.
