Rumor Wonders of Life getting an attraction soon?

I've been told otherwise. By someone that works in a building directly behind WoL.

Rumor Wonders of Life getting an attraction soon?

So when we talk rehab, we mean a complete gut job, not just updating with paint, fixtures etc.?

Rumor Wonders of Life getting an attraction soon?

You realize they've rehabbed most of the building with the exception of the flooring, right? And the leaky roof.

    Body Wars 2016 Update

They've also slowly made improvements to the pavilion each year since it's been used as a festival center. I have friend there that's joked the only thing haven't been given money for, is replacing the floor tile. Everything else has been painted, or redone since it's been used as it has to a...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

I still laugh to this day about my family's adventure with Universe of Energy. Prior to our November '82 visit, we were watching a special on EPCOT, and I was so excited about the "ride with the dinosaurs" such as an eight year old would be. We spent almost the entire morning going from...

    GOTG Flying Coaster in EPCOT?

I've been told that they keep getting a little more cash each year to fix up WoL for it's use as the Festival Center. Now they're getting down to thelarger stuff like the tile flooring, or the ceiling leaks. Oh god, please no to the kiddie flyer or kiddie inverted. Those hurt. A LOT.

    GOTG Flying Coaster in EPCOT?

I'd agree. There's no way it'd be out in the open like that if Disney was involved.

    GOTG Flying Coaster in EPCOT?

Technically for state laws and insurance liability, yes. They would need to "check" each harness (the old "pull the yellow strap" BS). Those old lie down Vekoma's were the worst. I much prefer the B&M design (although I'm not a fan of flying coasters anyway. They're kind of a one trick pony.

    Monorail Automation Testing

Better comparison is PTC (Positive Train Control) systems for railroads being rolled out across the country. Engineers are still needed, but PTC is an emergency back up system for human error.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closing for major refurbishment August to November 2016

That was me. I was told by an agent it was taken down on the 28th, and it has not appeared on her list at all, since. I'm also taking this info with a grain of salt....but who knows.

Monorail line repairs at EPCOT today

I always love these responses. I've worn an insurance badge for 15 years. We don't get shirts. Unless you're an underwriter. Then you get to go golf, and travel all over.

Monorail line repairs at EPCOT today

And do you have access to their inspection records, procedures, etc? I'd say the State of Florida probably has rules and regs for inspection like they do for any attraction and ride system for parks. Unless the pickup shoe snagged it and caused the break. Pretty confident the entire system...

    Train refurb in Germany?

If they're just going to run one locomotive, just buy street cars. At least it would make sense...... All that work, and they run just a locomotive. Sigh.

    Train refurb in Germany?

As I stated earlier in the thread, my Father is a "Engineer" at the Chicago Botanic Gardens outdoor Garden Railroad (http://www.chicagobotanic.org/gardens/railroad). Those trains run 12 hours a day, seven days a week, with only two slight reprieves in the Fall and Spring for their move into the...

    Train refurb in Germany?

Thanks for the info. I don't follow G scale much, since my days of working in a hobby shop back in college. I'm in N scale now (modutrak.com), but my Dad works many hours at the Chicago Botanical Gardens railway exhibit, and I hear the horror stories of lack of parts for many models. We're...

    Train refurb in Germany?

LGB went out of business a few years back. Parts are next to impossible to get right now, which is why many of the trains simply disappeared, or were down to one locomotive. My Father is a "engineer" at the Chicago Botanical Society's G Scale outdoor layout, the amount of abuse these models...

    Save the Adventurers Club

See, this type of response (and after several pages of it being done), is why other posters here get their undies in a bunch about this thread. There's always someone that takes another opinion defensively, instead of objectively. It's one thing to present anecdotal evidence and accept it as...
