What's Still On and What's Now Off

Well, ESPN could start really costing Disney money they are counting on. It looks like Cable/Sat etc. providers want their money back on ESPN because they are not broadcasting sports. The cable/sat are upset at paying full price fees for no content...

Ex-Disney accountant alleges major accounting fraud in parks and resorts division

People at the SEC did not even want to consider it at first....I believe they didn't even look at any evidence. Remember the Ratings companies in the late 2000's (07,08,09) Just saying people have looked past a lot.

Ex-Disney accountant alleges major accounting fraud in parks and resorts division

By no means am I giving credence to the account report on fraud at Disney.....Bernie Madoff started raising red flags in 1991. If I remember correctly, it took several years before someone at the SEC would believe he could be pulling off a fraud. Enron is another with their accounting firm...

    News Dismal Q3 Earnings

My only question would be, did they raise prices twice this year?(I honestly don't remember but thought they did) If they did raise them twice, was it because they saw the numbers coming in and were going to miss even worse without a price bump?

Cuts coming to every area of parks and resorts - thanks to Shanghai and Paris

Yes, it is guest demand driving this as seen by some of the responses on here. Some of the guests demand longer lines, fees on everything, less rides, less employees and higher prices. I can't wait until I have to swipe my magic band for a fee to ride the monorail or open a bathroom...

When can we expect to see the walls around the old hat site come down?

MM+ Why we can't have nice things.

Satellite internet? What is this 1999? How fast is the upload on that dial up modem for satellite internet? If you were talking 3G/4G hotspot that is different....

    GAC to Become DAS

What everyone wants is a fair system....not one with unequal access. Is it ok for a family with a GAC(real, fake or whatever need) to ride lets say Pooh 4 times while I am still in line for once? No one is saying keep the disabled kids at home. Disney has even acknowledged the rise in use of...

    GAC to Become DAS

I believe MM+ has had a few problems during the rollout. I think the last thing it needs is another item added to it right now. Get the bugs worked out of the system then try adding it later.

    GAC to Become DAS

The GAC was never intended to be an Unlimited Fastpass. That is and was the abuse of the system(even disabled guests) When you have that many people flooding the Fastpass line that Disney did not plan for, all of the lines are increased.

    GAC to Become DAS

Finally glad to see this change.....I suggested this exact system (return time) in the other closed GAC thread and was flamed by many GAC users. My last trip to WDW (Aug 2013) opened my eyes to the level of abuse. As I said in the other thread, what entitles you to experience any ride 3 times...

About time......when will it roll out at WDW?

Possible Changes coming to the Guest Assistance Cards (GAC)

Also, planning does not help when several times you have rides break down. I guess it is my fault my Fastpass for both Soarin and Buzz were during the times they went down for over an hour while I was standing in the Fastpass line. Planning only takes you so far. I hope the changes that spirit...

Possible Changes coming to the Guest Assistance Cards (GAC)

My point is not punish people with special needs. If you create a program that offers people a chance to bypass the stand by lines with little oversight, it will be greatly abused as we have seen(cm verified). Universal Orlando already has such a system requiring GAC users to wait. I do not...

Possible Changes coming to the Guest Assistance Cards (GAC)

My experience and example was at WDW. Once again, why do you get to do every ride while I missed out on several due to stand by wait eating up my day and Fastpass being out? What you are saying is you should get a higher level of service over others. Why should you get to do every ride with a...

Possible Changes coming to the Guest Assistance Cards (GAC)

Still have not had an answer to my question. Why does anyone, no matter disability, get to have unlimited access through Fastpass entrance? If you have a disability, what is wrong with giving you a stamped card with the current wait time and returning later?(you should be allowed one at a time)...

    My Magic + details ...

This whole Fastpass + reminds me of something else in the news recently(pardon me if someone else mentioned it). A few weeks ago Microsoft announced their new "NSA Spybox"....I mean Xbox One with all of its unfriendly consumer features. Sony waited for them to finish anouncing then smashed...

Rich Manhattan moms hire handicapped tour guides so kids can cut lines at Disney World

There lies the problem. Everyone feels they are entitled to a higher level of service because of "x" problem/issue. It isnt enough to make it equal access it needs to be superior access. That creates massive amounts of abuse as evidenced on my last three trips to WDW. I don't get to do...
